B'z release their new DVD and Blu-Ray with massive campaign

B'z

On July 28th the record-breaking band B'z has released thier latest DVD (which also is their first Blu-Ray release) B'z LIVE-GYM 2010 "Ain't No Magic" at TOKYO DOME, and it has already topped the Oricon daily chart.

As usual, both members left a message to fans in their official web-site
Finally the great Live-Gym is out on DVD! The good thing about this DVD is that no matter how many times you watch it, you'll enjoy it!
So feel free to...eagerly enjoy it.

Please have a look at these wonderful moments in which there are no magical tricks involved!

The release was also supported by a massive promotional campaign.
On 28th morning, two coloured pages featured B'z ads in the Asahi Shinbun (one of Japan's most renown newspapers), promoting this new release. Also, some buses with ads on it could be seen on the streets.
Plus, until August 1st, Tower Record music shops are hosting a corner called "B'z SHOP-GYM". Both DVD and Blu-Ray are offered with a 15% discount, and you can get a special commemorating seal (in 2 different colours, red and blue) and mini-uchiwas with tour's logo on it.
In some shops you can also see a scale model of the "flying stage" used during dome tour dates.

Why does I don't like rock that much? I wish some of my fav artists have these kind of promotion, I mean, everytime they tour, there's at least one concert at the Tokyo Dome, right?

No, not always - also because you can't perform at Tokyo Dome during baseball season XD
Lately they do lot of concerts in small venues, like Zapp halls.

Mmm... Aren't these the guys who sang one of the songs of "Kyou Kara Maou"?
lum84 28th-Jul-2010 11:30 pm (UTC)
No, maybe you're confusing them with BON'Z.
B'z did some song for Meitantei Conan though (and for a tons of dramas and cms).

LIVE-GYM Pleasure 2008-GLORY DAYS is still my favorite live of B'z. Thought the venue was extremely huge (I believe this International Stadium Yokohama is the biggest concert venue in Japan), but I'm sure everyone there could still feel the excitement all the same no matter where you sit.

I really want to buy this new DVD but there are so many releases I want to/have to buy lately. I may wait until later to buy this one them.

I can tell you this year's tour was really, really good, as I pesonally attended to one of Tokyo Dome dates.
GLORY DAYS was of course an important step for them and it was wonderful (I get moved every time I hear Inaba-san's final speech and their hug at the very end), but I could also see they were very tired - no surprise after 9 months touring. Here they are more fresh imho, and the result is just amazing.

Not that I was expecting anything different, but I'm glad to hear the concerts were good! I purchased the DVD (just got it shipped yesterday) and I can't wait to watch it. It's been a while since I've heard them playing Ai no mama ni~ live and the tracklist looks great too. :)

It's great, and there are a lot of visual effects.
LOVE IS DEAD is by far my favourite, it's one of their best perf *ever*.
I won't spoiler the rest, but I can't wait for my BR to arrive :D
