Ayaka speaks about Hiro Mizushima leaving Ken-on

Earlier this week, the entertainment world was surprised by the news of actor Hiro Mizushima (26) leaving his management agency Ken-on in order to pursue writing. On Thursday, some information about the situation was revealed on the Fuji TV program "Tokudane!"

Singer Ayaka (22), who is married to Mizushima, replied to an e-mail sent by the show's newscaster Tomoaki Ogura (63). Ogura summarized her response by highlighting four major points:
  • Ayaka also left Ken-on at the end of last year.
  • Mizushima will be focusing on writing and creating works, but his activities will also include acting.
  • The company that Mizushima and Ayaka have started is in charge of managing Ayaka's music.
  • The two plan on continuing their activities independently, without a management agency.
Ayaka's response contradicts Ken-on's statement earlier this week, which stated that Ayaka was still signed with the agency and that her contract would not be affected. Ken-on has not yet commented on Ayaka's statements.

but ken-on is a pretty good talent company!
wow, i wonder if she's still under warner music then?
it's good that they still want to continue their activities though.

Record contracts =/= Talent management.

So basically, they were "fired" from Ken-On probably because of their marriage. Hopefully they can both get works on their own now.

I wish them both the best! I'm not a big fan of neither, but Ayaka has a lovely voice. I hope they both succeed with their careers in spite of the manager company monsters...

It's nice that they created their own company. Good luck to either of them ever getting major work again though D:

Something about this whole thing isn't fitting together to me though, I mean if the company was so mad that they got married and wanted to dump them then why did they continue to have him cast in Tokyo Dogs and BECK? It just doesn't make sense... did his popularity drop off that much a year later?

most likely Beck and TD were planned before the marriage thing was exposed. Hiro didn't get any new project ever since.

i love how this is basically a big FU @ ken-on

Ah Ogu-san, the power you have. But I'm glad that he's not going to quit acting altogether. And Ayaka, I hope she gets better soon and starts up her singing career again.

u basically sum it up XD

I'm sad that a happy occasion like marriage would potentially damage their careers.

I wish them the best.

Wow, I admire them for starting up a new company...
Both of them should have bright futures ahead of them and their marital status shouldn't affect that. Besides, their love story is more adorable than most jpop couples. :x

Hoping for the best for both of them, because gosh, I miss ayaka sfm already. *sighs*

Yes, this, I suppose... sigh.

YEEEEEES. Erm, I mean...

I hope this means that her time off has helped her to better manage her illness. I adore Ayaka and would love for her to come back with music in the future, so I wish her the best with both things.

I knew the truth would come out this week. Good job for them. I'm just happy to see that Hiro is going to keep acting. That made my week! :)
chiefuku 24th-Sep-2010 02:32 am (UTC)
Wish them all the best! And that they can be very successful in the company they have started!! <33

What has marriage really got to do w/ working on their management. Its their personal life.Svck thats its mostly the case.

I just wish them the best.^^
lovesetfire 24th-Sep-2010 02:55 am (UTC)
Good for them, I'm glad they're taking it into their own hands! Serves Ken-on right for being so disrespectful about their marriage--they're lost two seriously talented people.
jaele 24th-Sep-2010 02:59 am (UTC)
Good luck to the both of them^^
yokumiz 24th-Sep-2010 02:59 am (UTC)
great they got the chance to speak for themselves~and this is the news I want.

ken-on...what a company~ <_< innocent fans are innocent. see here's a good lesson...always think twice about what Japanese companies said. They are often not true. good luck to Hiro and Ayaka. Glad to know both will continue their careers.
xshinystars 24th-Sep-2010 03:22 am (UTC)
I hope Hiro can continue acting while pursuing his goal of being a writer. Also hope Ayaka will be back soon, I miss her music >
rainbow_yarn 24th-Sep-2010 03:47 am (UTC)
I was confused the other day when I looked at Ken-On's website and saw that Ayaka wasn't there.

SO NOW WAIT. Starting a company?! This wasn't mentioned the other day! I'd have despaired a little less had I heard about this. I hope they're successful in managing their own careers; it's too bad about Ken-On, though. It seemed like such a golden place...
poleenc 24th-Sep-2010 06:32 am (UTC)
ACTUALLY, ayaka wasn't on Ken-On's official website since she officially went on "hiatus".. =\
chooseylover31 24th-Sep-2010 04:32 am (UTC)
WOW. as in WOW. starting your own company is becoming trendy these days... good luck to both of them! such talented should after all, not go to waste.
