Update on HSJ and making headlines everywhere

Hey!Say! underage member smoking, entertainment activities stopped indefinitely

Official statement:
Today, there are some news articles, which we validated with Morimoto Ryutaro himself. He admits that he has smoked out of curiosity on several occassions before. Although he is very sorry for his behaviour and in self-scrutiny, however underage smoking as a violation of the law is common knowledge and an unacceptable behaviour. Our company has always placed emphasis on educating them in this regard. To face the facts, from now on, Morimoto will cease all of his activities in the entertainment field indefinitely.
We sincerely apologize for the trouble caused to all fans and related persons.
-Johnnys Jimusho

chizzyrei 27th-Jun-2011 07:05 pm (UTC)
oh my god, to think that JE rarely responds to issues.
Johnnys is definitely fast and serious with violations.
they aint going soft.
chizzyrei 27th-Jun-2011 07:07 pm (UTC)
they aren't putting him to Junior status? there's a chance he'll be back if its just 'probation'. poor Ryu, it happened so fast, now he isn't with HSJ anymore.
niav scumbag niav, only cares about the cute little brother27th-Jun-2011 07:07 pm (UTC)
I'm kinda concerned about how this scandal might rub off on Shintaro's image and mess things up for him.
fog_dancer Re: scumbag niav, only cares about the cute little brother27th-Jun-2011 07:16 pm (UTC)
I think he will be okay. Might have to watch himself a bit more than before, but other than that, he's still good.
fog_dancer 27th-Jun-2011 07:09 pm (UTC)
I think it's mainly the fact that it is illegal. They do not want to be associated with crime in any way. No matter how small.

He won't be back.
chizzyrei 27th-Jun-2011 07:12 pm (UTC)
crying.
xcapsule 27th-Jun-2011 07:11 pm (UTC)
and that kind of makes me glad that Kisumai had to wait until everyone was legal to have the right to debut.
chizzyrei 27th-Jun-2011 07:13 pm (UTC)
they went beyond legal age though. way over.
831panda831 27th-Jun-2011 07:13 pm (UTC)

kawaii_beela 27th-Jun-2011 07:14 pm (UTC)
:S:S:S sux to be him right now but if he actually admitted it then i wouldnt be surprised at all if he's forced to quit
crazyfaucet 27th-Jun-2011 07:26 pm (UTC)
Agreed! It's his own fault! Though, I still kind of feel sad, what group wants to lose a member?

But it's not like you have anything to worry about that ^^ Arashi and it's perfection ^^
shy_mizuno 27th-Jun-2011 07:15 pm (UTC)
Please, please, PLE~ASE, just be on Hiatus. PLEASE!
asweetsymphony 27th-Jun-2011 07:16 pm (UTC)
When HSJ first debuted, everyone was making jokes about how big and young the group is and that they will become like NewS... I feel kinda bad that it actually came true. Poor guy. I'm not a fan of HSJ but that really sucks. He would definitely be out of the group unless JE is getting soft.
hime_cwaaaan 27th-Jun-2011 07:17 pm (UTC)
DDDDDDDDDDDD':
*speechless*
kieok 27th-Jun-2011 07:18 pm (UTC)
The group has needed to lose a member or two for a while now. Everyone else does, why shouldn't they. \o/
cuizy 27th-Jun-2011 07:23 pm (UTC)
lol.... well i thought hsj had 5 members in hs7 and.... the other group (i forgot oops) like a mirror.....so does one of the older ones have to get kicked out eventually too?
asweetsymphony 27th-Jun-2011 07:19 pm (UTC)
Does this mean HSJ's activities as a whole would be postponed or just Morimoto?
cuizy 27th-Jun-2011 07:22 pm (UTC)
just morimoto for now
boukenrider 27th-Jun-2011 07:19 pm (UTC)
...
well fuck.
mitchy_fleur 27th-Jun-2011 07:20 pm (UTC)
totally expected but i'm kinda feel sorry for him :(
flaminco 27th-Jun-2011 07:21 pm (UTC)
That's too bad. :(
I always thought he had a really cute baby face, and was excited to see how he would look after he grew out of it.
nhbsakakude 27th-Jun-2011 07:23 pm (UTC)
awww i like him...

seriously tho, who would b so stupid to post a pic of themselves smoking online when they r underage... and knowing that they r idols. -.-

as much as i pity him, he kinda had it coming.

tho it isn't a big news to me.. its not as if he's caught with a drug or having scandals with girls lol

maybe cos smoking is pretty common in japan.
831panda831 27th-Jun-2011 07:29 pm (UTC)
yeah exactly , thats why im torn whether i feel sorry for him or not.
Smoking teens/underage is common but the guy is an idol and took pictures of him doing it so Im just kinda "well that was dumb , thats what you get"
but then he is still a teen so idk ... :(

im conflicted lol
goren_solves 27th-Jun-2011 07:24 pm (UTC)
If Johnny's want all their talents to succeed w/out serious health problems, they should make all them quit smoking regardless of age... but of course, that's never gonna happen....
kieok 27th-Jun-2011 07:26 pm (UTC)
No, it won't, because then they'd get fat.
sodenoshirayuki 27th-Jun-2011 08:26 pm (UTC)
stalker?? nani
moka_n_waffles 27th-Jun-2011 07:26 pm (UTC)
Not a huge HSJ fan but when I saw the first pics popping up earlier I kind of saw that coming. Their response was really fast this time!

I'm sad for the group and specially for their fans. But it seems JE policy doesn't tolerate illegality at any costs (ex. Uchi was suspended for drinking when he was underage, while Jin and Ryo and others always get drunk and nothing happens)...

Wishing him all the best though. He's so young. =(
chizzyrei 27th-Jun-2011 07:28 pm (UTC)
Yamapi says that in JE, work is separate from personal life. So i guess when they're legal, JE can't forbid them to drink or what not. But if you're underage, it's a different story.
gigabytexx 27th-Jun-2011 07:26 pm (UTC)
It's Over. Love is Over.
chizzyrei 27th-Jun-2011 07:33 pm (UTC)
Hahaha. Can't drop HSJ. JE never dropped a group and never did add a member after.
but the thought of Yamada replacing Yamapi made me laugh.
you have some serious competition Pi.
katrinasacay 27th-Jun-2011 07:28 pm (UTC)
history repeating itself.
this is still heartbreaking though.
sparkletofhope 27th-Jun-2011 07:38 pm (UTC)
