A press conference for the upcoming second season of the Fuji TV drama "Zettai Reido: Tokushuu Hanzai Sennyu Sousa" and the special 2-hour episode was held on Tuesday and attended by Aya Ueto, Kenta Kiritani, Kinya Kitaoji and fellow cast members.

A year having past since the first season, Ueto and Kitaoji, who also play daughter and father in the popular Softbank 'White Family' commercial series, were asked about their first day on set. "He always has such wise things to say," revealed Ueto. "They're things 'Otou-san' would say," Kitaoji responded. He added, "My first impression was that (Ueto) has become a lovely lady."
The original cast will reunite on "Zettai Reido: Mikaiketsu Jiken Tokumei Sousa Special," a 2-hour special conclusion for the first series, which dealt with solving cold cases. The second season, which is set a month after the happenings of the special episode, will see Ueto's character be transferred to a new division which solves current crimes.
Ueto commented on Kiritani, who joins the cast of the new season in the role of her character's new partner, the "capable" detective, "(Kiritani) sets the mood on set and makes us all laugh 'till our stomachs hurt."
Other returning cast members include Sayaka Yamaguchi, Tomomi Marumaya, Hiromi Kitagawa, Ryo Kimura, Takeo Nakahara and Tetta Sugimoto. The 2-hour special episode airs July 8 at 9pm, while the second season will air Tuesdays at 9pm starting July 12.
