Another day, Another SP Announcement

Kaibutsu kun SP


Today it was announced that there would a SP continuation of the NTV drama "Kaibutsu-kun" which aired in April of last year and starred Arashi's Ohno Satoshi (30). The SP is the second to air as the previous one titled "Mou Kaettekita yo!! Kaibutsu-kun Subete Shinsaku SP" (We're back!! Kaibutsu-kun All-Original SP) aired in June of last year. 

"Kaibutsu-kun Original SP!" (Air date TBA), will be aired to raise expectations for the 3D movie opening Nov 26, and is a prequel to the movie as the two stories are connected.

Returning are the same cast: Ohno Satoshi as Kaibutsu-kun, Yashima Norito (40) as Dracula, Ueshima Ryuhei (50) as the Werewolf, Chen Hon Man (30) as Franken, Kawashima Umika (17) as Utako, and Hamada Tatsuomi (10) as Hiroshi.

In the drama series, Kaibutsu-kun finished his training in the human world. The special will follow his life after he returns to the land of monsters.

Playing Kaibutsu-kun's fiancee, Kaiko-chan, will be Becky (27) already introduced in the first SP. Ohno appealed, "Everyone, please look forward to the movie and drama!!".

I enjoyed Kaibutsu-kun. A movie + SP episode makes me really happy. Plus, Becky is amazing as always.

They don't list his name in the original article but based on the picture I found (added to the article above), and the fact he's in the movie, I'd assume that he will be in it.

Just like Kaibutsu-kun, Utaonii is a kids drama, too..I'm still struggling with it.. (I'm on ep 6) So, I'm only watching it cuz Ohno looks hot in it. Kenta's personality is cool xD I enjoyed watching Ohno complaining and grumbling xD

i wouldn't call wasting his talent starring in kid dramas...but i am also looking forward to watch him in more mature roles... =)

I also want him for mature roles, but his roles especially for Kaibutsu-kun made a lot of fans from the younger age. And it also helped Arashi to be more popular not only from people on their teens and older.

i loved Kaibutsu-kun but a movie was already enough.
i enjoy his funny acting skills, but if lot of people after 4 years still remember and praise him in Naruse's role, there is a reason.

Agree with everyone with wanting Ohno get more serious roles. Ohno's acting as Naruse was pure gold!
