Yahoo! News asks: Is there too much Korean entertainment in Japan?

Yahoo! News is asking its readers to weigh in on the recent influx of Korean entertainment in Japan

"After Takaoka Sousuke criticized the Korean wave he was fired from his agency. On one side, some are saying "I don't see anything wrong with the Hanryu. It's an age of globalism," (brain scientist Ken Mogi). How do you feel about the amount of Hanryu in Japan?"

Results so far show 93% of readers think there is too much, with 5% saying there's just enough, 3% not knowing and in last place, 1% saying there's not enough.

like, what the hell is your logic? koreans don't even buy the albums in KOREA, why the hell would they INFLATE the numbers in japan? i know i'm being dumb by feeding the troll but its like you aren't even trying
ohprecioustime 7th-Aug-2011 09:40 am (UTC)
Korean mainstream don't care for idols and therefore don't buy albums

But idol fans do bulk buy in Korea, do you follow Kpop?
delicious_pocky 7th-Aug-2011 09:48 am (UTC)
not enough to inflate numbers in oricon, ffs
ohprecioustime 7th-Aug-2011 09:54 am (UTC)
You don't need a lot

It's not like old days with huge numbers, 10k can change ones rank

And they have a huge fanbase, they are just behind TVXQ.
that and their normal idol things like event card stuff, I am still side eyeing all their sales
delicious_pocky 7th-Aug-2011 09:59 am (UTC)
well, oricon is an extremely corrupted company anyway so sales from anyone aren't THAT reliable (and this include japanese acts)
seabornestyle 7th-Aug-2011 10:03 am (UTC)
lol this excuse.

These links don't even work.

first it doesn't matter if Koreans buy because they don't inflate oricon. And if ever they do, it's Oricon's fault coz they're a corrupt company? Nice try, but no.
delicious_pocky 7th-Aug-2011 12:55 pm (UTC)
what's not to get? koreans won't inflate oricon sales number but, even if they did, oricon isn't reliable and is manipulated by agencies interests so it doesn't make much difference...
spitfire_bijoux 7th-Aug-2011 02:10 pm (UTC)
I just found it funny that first you were denying the inflation from Korean fans, and then when that argument got defeated you started attacking oricon instead.
seabornestyle 7th-Aug-2011 02:14 pm (UTC)
I've found he does that kind of thing quite a bit.

And they have a huge fanbase, they are just behind TVXQ.
are we talking about another group or 2pm?
because 2pm's fanbase is nowhere near the size of TVXQ's...
besides theres like 3~4 groups with bigger fanbases that promote in japan...
ohprecioustime 7th-Aug-2011 04:52 pm (UTC)
In Korea

2pm are behind a lot,but they still are the number 2 male group there, in Jpn,as a Hallyu group,3rd behind TVXQ and Shinee
seabornestyle 7th-Aug-2011 09:46 am (UTC)
lol uh, they sure do buy albums in Korea. It might not be much but it's enough. BEAST or SHINee can sell over 100k copies of their albums, I believe.

Calm down btw.
