xcherryblossomx 23rd-Oct-2011 09:22 pm (UTC)
after replaying it for a while I started liking the japanese diva version.

It is CM song material.
ohprecioustime 23rd-Oct-2011 09:22 pm (UTC)
haters gonna hate Japanese Diva is amaaazing flawless sounds a bit like Amoled but better

kireny 23rd-Oct-2011 09:44 pm (UTC)
Diva sounds like a brand new song instead of a remake of the Korean version. I like it
scubajr 23rd-Oct-2011 09:47 pm (UTC)
I only like the chorus in the Japanese version of Mr. Simple.
Shindong and Leeteuk's rap part made me laugh so hard.
go_chan2011 23rd-Oct-2011 10:07 pm (UTC)
Please don´t hate me becoz of this comment, but I really think that Korean girls are more beautiful than japanese ones, at least the ones in the ent biz.

Girls in "After School and SND" are definately more beautiful than the ones in AKB48, just mentioning these coz they are similar groups, or at least they sell the same type of music/wardrobe style.

Except of Namie Amuro of course, and I would´ve included Ayumi Hamasaki too if she wasn´t the queen of botox and plastic surgery...she has great songs tho.

JUST MY OPINION ¬_¬
xcherryblossomx 23rd-Oct-2011 10:14 pm (UTC)
Korean women in the entertainment business are not natural beauties. Just look at their pre debut pictures and they pretty much are on the same level of beauty than Japanese idols.

Korean idols get a lot of plastic surgeries (nose, eyelids, chin, and calf removal), extreme diets and dental work.

I think Japan likes a more girl next door look, thats why their artists don't get that much done.
go_chan2011 23rd-Oct-2011 10:19 pm (UTC)
Ehhhhhhhh r u saying that all of them have plastic surgery!? Really!!??

Well if that´s the case no wonder they look more beautiful and sexy, it´s easier to look like that if you bought that look from a surgeon.

U know I didn´t know it was like that, How did u know about this? Do u have link where I can read about that?

thank you^^
xcherryblossomx 23rd-Oct-2011 10:37 pm (UTC)
I read about it on a beauty forum. Korea is well known for plastic surgery tourism.

I am not sure what surgeries they have had but most of korean idols get eyelid surgeries to get that double eyelid effect and so that they don't look "angry". Many parents give the eyelid surgeries to their daughters as a high school graduation present.

Some shave their chins to get what they call a "V Line". There is also the calf muscle removal surgery in which they get their calf muscle cut in half so that their legs look slimmer.

Just google korean surgeries and you will get a lot of scary, sad but interesting articles about it.
dogangel22 24th-Oct-2011 12:57 am (UTC)
ugh omg lolol i just read this comment! OMFG this is sooo disturbing ugh ugh
go_chan2011 24th-Oct-2011 01:02 am (UTC)
Thank you for the tips, I´m going to check them out^^

The calf surgery sounds really painful btw.

How come they do that? Although is true that Jpop girls maybe don´t have plastic surgery but from some articles in Arama it´s pretty clear that they are fotoshop to the fullest, which makes me wonder how much of them we really see, and if they are pretty or not, coz at the end sounds like we see all girls in ent biz K or J and we see everything but real beauty...T_T
rim1789 24th-Oct-2011 06:06 am (UTC)
Oo ''s pretty clear that they are fotoshop to the fullest, '' ... You know that EVERYONE is photoshopped in pictures ? Either westernian ''stars'' or esternians' too. Mot of our westernians model are photoshopped. KPop boys and girls, just like Jpop boys and girls AND OTHERS use photoshop a LOT.

It's quite hard to know if they did plastic surgery, photoshop, or just hair and make up.

Articles are photoshopped, but not TV program, btw xD So just watch tv shows/PV etc.

As for photoshop just google it. This one is the most famous, as they photoshopped so much, his belly button disappeared http://blog.ningin.com/2011/03/08/photoshop-fail-nichkhuns-missing-body-part/

For plastic surgery in the world and Korea first place in the top http://www.asianplasticsurgeryguide.com/news10-2/081003_south-korea-highest.html

As for real beauty...Everyone has their own conception of that. Some also consider it's without make up and air do, others don't etc.
go_chan2011 25th-Oct-2011 01:33 am (UTC)
Thank you for the links, it was really interesting to read about this^_^
funkaliciousss 24th-Oct-2011 03:18 pm (UTC)
omg lol i had no idea that my single-eyelid-asian-eyes are considered 'angry' hahaha. is this a common stereotype? cause this is so new to me and also so ridiculously hilarious. i don't look angry, i am fierce but i also look like this ^.^ at the same time.
xcherryblossomx 24th-Oct-2011 03:40 pm (UTC)
I heard that a couple of times from Asians and non Asians. Which IMHO is stupid, some people look angry regardless of their race and eyelids.
dogangel22 24th-Oct-2011 12:57 am (UTC)
gosh i got really disgusted reading that list... chin and calf?!!! goodness :(
go_chan2011 25th-Oct-2011 01:35 am (UTC)
Ikr! Me too! I had no idea that they did that!! T_T
ohprecioustime 23rd-Oct-2011 10:21 pm (UTC)
your opinions sucks IMO

shaking my damn head @ Ayu shade
go_chan2011 24th-Oct-2011 12:55 am (UTC)
Sorry if u r an Ayumi´s fan, but she does have tones of plastic surgery, I like how she sings tho^_^
eishastan 23rd-Oct-2011 10:40 pm (UTC)
I don't see the similarities between After School and SNSD with AKB48 and i'm a SNSD & AKB stan, oh and Jpop idols also do surgery, anyone who thinks otherwise is just naive, just search for Morning Musume ex members pre debut, and some AKB girls or even Namie, Ayu and Koda Kumi (does anyone remember her morning musume audition tape.. nightmare worthy)

Everybody in the entertainment industry does it! doesn't matter which country they are from.
minakuu 23rd-Oct-2011 10:45 pm (UTC)
uhm.. I don't think kuu looked that different in her audition video btw. she just grew up, maybe she did plastic surgery too but I don't see much difference
eishastan 23rd-Oct-2011 10:53 pm (UTC)
I don't see much difference with most celebrities who have done surgery too, just when it's too dramatic or you compare with previous photos, specially since most of them don't do everything at once, they do it slowly so it won't be too obvious. but hell who care if Kuu did or not, she is hot, beautiful and fierce <3 I actually don't give a crap if they do it, it doesn't change the fact they are beautiful now, and having surgery is no guarantee you'll be hot, you need something to work with in the first place.
thewarpedmelody 23rd-Oct-2011 11:38 pm (UTC)
Well, majority of kpop celebrities have underwent plastic surgery and relies heavily on makeup. While Japanese female celebrities are mostly natural beauty.

You can search KARA's Nicole non-makeup face or SNSD's Tiffany and Jessica's pre-surgery faces. They look nothing like the SNSD on stage.
go_chan2011 24th-Oct-2011 01:04 am (UTC)
I get now that Kpop girls are really fake, but J girls rely on fotoshop a lot, so I dunno how much of that natural beauty it´s really there.

Thanks for the data!!^^
gorgeous_filth 24th-Oct-2011 12:59 am (UTC)
Majority of AKB48 are 'average' looking but that's their appeal.
They're marketed as 'idols you can meet'.
They don't get made up/primped the way SNSD do.

This is what SNSD looked like when they first debuted -

They were going for a more natural look back then.

Compare them to now -

Huge difference, right?
It's all about hair, make-up, clothing, etc.
go_chan2011 24th-Oct-2011 01:07 am (UTC)
Sure, but they do look beautiful, wonder if all of them had surgery, maybe it´s not that much of surgeries but the clothes or make up as u r saying right?
gorgeous_filth 24th-Oct-2011 01:17 am (UTC)
wonder if all of them had surgery

Google it.

And lol, I thought it was a well-known fact that hair and make-up does a lot to improve one's appearance.
go_chan2011 24th-Oct-2011 01:50 am (UTC)
yeah that´s obvious, what it isn´t, is surgery and that was what we were talking about, and with my words I was trying to say maybe SNSD didn´t have surgery and mostly did makeup and clothing updates, maybe u didn´t understand what I said.
gorgeous_filth 24th-Oct-2011 02:01 am (UTC)
No, I understood what you said. That's why I told you to google it.
I didn't feel like getting into the great idol plastic surgery debate.

My point was - with or without plastic surgery, make-up, hair + clothes can dramatically change a person's appearance.
yoshi09 24th-Oct-2011 02:40 am (UTC)
I did not recognize Taeyeon at all in the first pic. But yeah, dramatic difference. Even so, they're very beautiful but they're doing it for the audience because we're the ones who make the stars. Physical attractiveness is incredibly appealing to the viewers.
turtles_tszx 24th-Oct-2011 01:49 am (UTC)
I think artist regardless of their country probably had plastic surgery to enhance their image, i agreed with your opinion that korean artist are more prettier than japanese artist but that's what i like about japanese artist sometimes. They don't have to be so pretty to be an artist.
javiera 24th-Oct-2011 02:03 am (UTC)
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's OK if you like Korean girls better than Japanese, even if it just the entertainment industry version of them, whether they have had surgery or not. I don't see the point of your comment about their beauty in the context of this post, though.
princess_momo 23rd-Oct-2011 10:09 pm (UTC)
The Japanese version of Diva isn't bad, but I... think I prefer the Korean version 'cause I'm used to it.

The Japanese version of Mr. Simple is BAWSSSSSSSSS
bunnyshoxx 23rd-Oct-2011 10:31 pm (UTC)
I'm just waiting for Orange Caramel's debut tbqh
thisiskanta 23rd-Oct-2011 10:50 pm (UTC)
o.o I kinda like Diva. Sounds different... ish...
lelouchikaru THIS...24th-Oct-2011 12:13 am (UTC)
This article should be renamed as "avex k-pop japanese remake post."

Just came here for Mr. Simple Japanese version. This will be my current jam.

OP, I never thought you will post two artists in one article.
liime_arix Re: THIS...24th-Oct-2011 01:03 am (UTC)
OP, I never thought you will post two artists in one article.

Why is that a concern?
lelouchikaru Re: THIS...24th-Oct-2011 10:55 am (UTC)
Why is that a concern?

I have no concerns. I'm just surprised about what you did since both are Korean artists, put it into one article, and there you go.
gorgeous_filth 24th-Oct-2011 12:50 am (UTC)
"only one make me cum"?

anyone else hear that?

natsudive 24th-Oct-2011 06:44 am (UTC)
hmm, it took a couple of listens, but i actually like diva. still prefer the original, though. i like that it's not a straight remake.
purplduskvii 24th-Oct-2011 07:51 pm (UTC)
you guys are dumb. j-pop artists get plastic surgery too. even girls in your precious akb48 get surgery. just look at itano tomomi if you want the most obvious example.
liime_arix 24th-Oct-2011 09:38 pm (UTC)
Yes and JE guys, models, actresses...

YOU GET PLASTIC SURGERY, YOU GET PLASTIC SURGERY, AND YOU GET PLASTIC SURGERY. EVERYONE GETS PLASTIC SURGERY!!!

whited_79 25th-Oct-2011 08:21 am (UTC)
I'm only here to listen to how the songs sound like, and I like Diva, but hate Mr. Simple to the core...

that being said, what's plastic surgery doing over here?? *poor OP*
