Call of Duty launches in Japan – Gets Endorsement More Badass than the Game

Yesterday, a press conference was held for the release of CoD: Modern Warfaren 3 in Japan, featuring special guest and all around show-stopper: GACKT.

GACKT is narrating the CMs for the game, and continuing to show the world how to make proper entrances onto the stage:

During the press conference, GACKT played a co-op version of the game, made statements that he loved gamer girls, complimented CoD and stunned the cameras.

The conference also featured a car, which is a limited edition JEEP Wrangler, Call of Duty model.

When Modern Warfare 3 was released in the US and the UK, it grossed $400million in one day, making it the most successful entertainment launch ever.

BAMF game, BAMF man.

Of course, GACKT doesn’t need video games to kick some ass. In fact, he doesn’t even need to throw punches. UNF~

nitpicking but it is CoD 8: Modern Warfare 3, not CoD 3: Modern Warfare.

Heck, even the first Modern Warfare was CoD 4.

Actually, it's neither. Ever since Modern Warfare 2 came out, it's been its own IP and sub-series. It's just Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

It's a shame Modern Warfare 3 was godawful. Then again, it's been eons since I actually enjoyed a Call of Duty game.

But that probably has more to do with the fact that Activision treats its consumerbase like dirt than anything.
