GQ Men of The Year 2011
GQ has just announced the most shining men of the year 2011. 5 Men are selected; Ryuichi Sakamoto, Darvish Yu, Ohno Satoshi, Tanaka Yoshikazu, and Norio Sasaki.
From entertainment area, Arashi Ohno Satoshi, who has a successful solo as well as group performance and Ryuichi Sakamoto who continue to assist earthquake reconstruction with music. From sports area, coach Norio Sasaki of the Japan national football team and Yu Darvish that aiming to transfer to the Major League Baseball. From the business area, Yoshikazu Tanaka CEO of GREE is elected.
The magazine selected men that have a powerful performance for the year and also that give power to Japan to be strong.
The awards, including the U.S., UK, Germany, India, China and Korea deployed in 11 countries. In Japan, GQ Men of The Year started in 2006 and last year Akimoto Yasushi (Lyricist, and the producer of AKB48), Kagawa Teruyuki (Actor), Son Masayoshi (CEO of SoftBank Capital, and SoftBank Mobile), Nishizawa Ryue (Architect), Noguchi Soichi (Astronette), Hakuho Sho (Sumo wrestler), Honda Keisuke (Soccer player), Mukai Osamu (Actor) were elected
