Arama They Didn't

11:08 pm - 12/29/2011

JKT48 will make an appearance on NHK 's 62nd Kohaku Uta Gassen. True Story :P

More surprises comes from the new member of AKB48 family, which is JKT48. Not only they participated in the recent AKB48 version of Kohaku, but they will join their sisters to perform in the annual NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. JKT48 and HKT48 will perform as backdancers for their senpai who will sing a medley consist of their hit songs like Kaze wa fuiteru - Flying Get - Everyday Kachuusa. A total of 210 members of the 48 family will be on the Kohaku stage, performing and showing their support for Japan.

Check out their rehearsal pic below! (those pink arrows and names are for JKT48 members, fyi):

AKB48 members also said that next summer 2012, TPE48 is scheduled to be launched in Taipei-Taiwan, as another expansion of the 48 family to overseas. Well, the stage isn't gonna get smaller, isn't it? Good luck to the girls ^^

satoshi_izure 29th-Dec-2011 06:48 pm (UTC)
i hear it's 130 members last year, next year's gonna be 300? haha
aoisoranohikari 29th-Dec-2011 06:44 pm (UTC)
This!
liime_arix 29th-Dec-2011 06:41 pm (UTC)
I always hate how unoriginal the medleys are.
taylorniw 29th-Dec-2011 06:45 pm (UTC)
Maybe in ten years, you'll get a Dream AKB48 and all they'll do is medleys of their old hit songs on TV.

cocori 29th-Dec-2011 07:18 pm (UTC)
Holy crap! Wtf are they wearing? Yes, I know this is rehearsal, but the color combos some of the girls are wearing are what you wear at HOME, not someplace where there are cameras.
sheix0 29th-Dec-2011 07:32 pm (UTC)
these chicks are "girls next door" for a reason. :P
that's kinda akb appeal, they're too normal, instead of dressing up and worry about their images like typical celebs
taki_jiri 29th-Dec-2011 07:33 pm (UTC)
Serious, what happened to Kouhaku this year????

I can understand the fact JKT48 appear on Kouhaku as one part of 48family, but, they are still amateur, and according to 2 performances I watched from them lately, I don't even hope that 48family this year will give a good perf this year like they did last year, I just hope JKT and HKT won't spoil the performance (even they just be the backdancers)

And I really don't remember why I complained about too many foreign artist show up on Kouhaku this year *shurg*
nilla_cakester 30th-Dec-2011 01:55 am (UTC)
Sorry, but wtf? HKT & JKT have both already debuted and been around about as long as pre-debut NMB before they performed at Kouhaku last year. Plus, HKT is fucking awesome live.
tomoeicemaiden 29th-Dec-2011 07:34 pm (UTC)
inb4 "but they haven't earned the right to appear on such a prestigious show" comments. that are said about kpop acts and other "undeserving" peeps.
taki_jiri 29th-Dec-2011 07:39 pm (UTC)
They come as part of 48family and take part as backdancers, you know. Still, I agree it quite ridiculous.
aammmyyy 29th-Dec-2011 08:02 pm (UTC)
To be honest, I'm kind of worried about HKT and JKT performing.
Mostly JKT because their 'Aitakatta' performance at AKB's Kohaku was a mess. (Which is kind of confusing cause their Hebirote performance was OK and I consider Hebirote's dance to be harder than Aitakatta's. .___.)
taylorniw 29th-Dec-2011 08:07 pm (UTC)
Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but I vaguely recall HebiRote not having a whole lot of dancing in it at all.
taylorniw 29th-Dec-2011 08:06 pm (UTC)
Well, if NYC get to keep going to this thing, I don't see why JKT and HKT can't.
katzsong 29th-Dec-2011 08:10 pm (UTC)
lol I was thinking the same thing. The big bosses are pulling strings. Some may not like it, but that's just how the showbiz works *shrug*
asaphira_sachi 29th-Dec-2011 09:15 pm (UTC)
Nothing against the girls, just that Kohaku's becoming more and more a place of promotion than a place of recognition. Either way, congrats to them for the opportunity~

"Nothing against the girls, just that Kohaku's becoming more and more a place of promotion than a place of recognition."

subarunee 29th-Dec-2011 10:12 pm (UTC)
Yeah!!! Go girls make us proud!!!!

ntah kenapa banyak banged yang iri sama mereka, untung saya ga

And i'm official want to troll Ghaida's twitter and send my 'hi' to Arashi XDDD

Poor think Kinal in Indonesia, she is one of Johnny's fan in JKT48 >
nilla_cakester 30th-Dec-2011 02:05 am (UTC)
ikr I'm so sad Devi isn't there!! She'd be so happy to meet Acchan, Sayaka, & JE.
ilove_ryo 29th-Dec-2011 10:20 pm (UTC)
I love them all but.. I don't really like the idea of putting them ALL on one stage..
My thoughts of it is that it might be a turn off for people who's watching them for the first time..

I know they're trying to 'promote' every group but not in this way..
and I always wonder why there's no SDN48 included everytime in this kind of stuffs where all the sister groups take part in
vonya_toma 29th-Dec-2011 10:46 pm (UTC)
Wew. This year's Kouhaku such a surprise.
Korean.
Sho's playing piano.
Indonesian.
I really am looking forward.
riringo 30th-Dec-2011 02:31 am (UTC)
definitely a must watch :D
yuetsuki 29th-Dec-2011 11:10 pm (UTC)
urayamashiii~~~~!!! thy can see ARASHI LIVE!!! X'(
ocha_suki 29th-Dec-2011 11:57 pm (UTC)
darn, there they gonna meet Arashi then!
whoaaaaa...so jelly rn, GO GIRLS!!
though i thought JKT48 is more being acknowledged in Japan than in my own country, coz none of my friends know them o__0
miszterius 30th-Dec-2011 12:30 am (UTC)
The stage looks.. chaotic with that many people.
ossa_arashi 30th-Dec-2011 12:42 am (UTC)
the only thing i envy with them is they can meet all of the singers esp ARASHI and SMAP.
but wouldn't it be really really crowded on the stage?i mean really really really crowded.
chrismellody 30th-Dec-2011 12:50 am (UTC)
This is just ridiculous, really.
How come their appearance could make Indonesian proud? It's just for the sake of AKB48, their pride, not Indonesian.

Feels like Kouhaku is becoming less and less interesting every year as a "prestigious show".

buyme_arashi 30th-Dec-2011 01:56 am (UTC)
being part of AKB family doesn't make them less Indonesian. Technically they are the first Indonesians to perform in Kohaku, that's something to be proud of. It's not like they are the highlight of AKB performance, so it's nothing offensive really.

Fyi, I'm one of those who are AGAINST more than 3 kpop performers in Kohaku.
nilla_cakester 30th-Dec-2011 01:57 am (UTC)
What the shit is this worry about HKT performing? JKT is messy, but HKT is awesome and the second coming of SKE tbh.
xsoraxchanx 30th-Dec-2011 01:58 am (UTC)
There are many many many other Japanese groups/singers who deserve to be on that stage more than JKT and the Korean groups.
katzsong 30th-Dec-2011 02:24 am (UTC)
so...these other Japanese groups/singer wants/deserves to be AKB48 back dancers?
katzsong 30th-Dec-2011 02:02 am (UTC)
Love how some comments are too focused on this one performance and worried about how this "one" will spoiled the whole show >.>
And how the other 50 more performances and special projects are forgotten at the moment...
amamiyarin 30th-Dec-2011 02:05 am (UTC)
I'm all for everything that gives me more Ghaida pimpin', man.
yulisukamakan 30th-Dec-2011 12:17 pm (UTC)

asai64 30th-Dec-2011 02:11 am (UTC)
this is just not fair...
foryourluv 30th-Dec-2011 02:30 am (UTC)
