Possible Tohoshinki reunion through Avex?

Recent news on the possibility of Korean group TVXQ’s reunion is sending shockwaves throughout the industry.

On January 22nd, a Japanese article titled, “Will Avex act as the savior? TVXQ’s reunion project” surfaced. It reported of rumors of a reunion concert at Tokyo Dome orchestrated by Avex, who was previously accused of hindering JYJ’s Japanese activities. In light of Avex’s recent under-performing releases, it is said that they are willing to go head with this project and stop hindering JYJ’s Japanese activities. Japanese superstar Ayumi Hamasaki is rumored to be negotiating on behalf of both sides.

While the news of a possible reunion is being met with enthusiasm by fans all over the world, many are skeptical of the chances of such a reunion actually occurring. The fact that this reunion is being orchestrated by Avex instead of SM Entertainment is also a cause of skepticism.

The article goes on to state, “While the reunion of TVXQ is something that many fans are waiting, the small possibility of this actually happening is an indicator of Avex’s desperation,” hinting that Avex’s recent lack of success may be reason for pursuing such a unlikely project.

TVXQ fans responded to the news with, “While it would be great if reunion happens, it seems unlikely“, “They say Avex will lead the project but I can’t trust them“, and “I hope they stop writing these pointless reunion articles“.

As no official statements have been released from any parties, it’s important to wait for these rumors and speculations to be confirmed. Stay tuned to allkpop as we await developments on this matter.

I don't know what to say to you, other than that I disagree.

To each their own!

I have a friend who prefers Tohoshinki as duo too.
findmefate 24th-Jan-2012 11:19 pm (UTC)
Yes, but tvxq as duo is so mainstream I just can't like their music very much at all. Though I like JYJs style more, they don't harmonize as well without the added vocals of Min and Yunho. I loved the voices of all five together best, so I just disagree ^^.

Even though they most likely will never get back together, we've all got memories, MP3s and videos. I only hope that one day all five can at least say Hi and smile to one another, sit in the same room without any awkwardness. A very big wish is that they can regain at least half the friendship they used to have. ToT

Mhm...I don't completely agree with this. Sure, some of their songs are pretty mainstream, but some DBSK5-songs were very mainstream too!

And I personally think that Yunho's and Changmin's voices have improved A LOT. They never had bad voices, but they just never got a lot of lines in their songs.
While I've to say that Yoochun's voices is getting worse and worse and sometimes it's painful to listen to.

Mhm, I also hope that there will come a time when they can sit down together and talk about all this!

Well >> I never said anything about Changmin's or Yunho's voice... or Yoochun's, Jaejoong's, and Junsu's for that matter, mostly because I like each of their voices individually for their unique qualities. Plus, I didn't actually feel like debating whether or not someone could sing better as compared to another. These five have been my "luverlies" since 2007, to this day they are my favorite and I will pick all five of them before any other Asian artist. I still can't separate them mentally in terms of "which one is your favorite" -- // Its all five leave me alone // dunn make me pick. // Thinking about everything thats happened to them these past years depresses me. I was just saying that considering how their music was in the past, its now more mainstream, it sounds too much like everything else. As a result their music isn't as appealing to me anymore though I still listen to it every now and then. Mhmm. Its ok to disagree. -sigh-

Now, if you are to reply "TLDR" don't reply at all, ty. I dunn need such apathy. Its long, I tend to do that, so I am surreh.

I know you didn't! I just wanted to tell you my opinion! ^.^

I understand you, don't worry. I'm a very recent fan (I just know these five guys since a few months), but I can understand why everybody loved (or loves!) DBSK5 so much.
All of them are very talented singers and dancers and they also had a great group chemistry!

It's very sad that things had to end the way they did! ;.;

Their chemistry was incredible <3 maybe one day they can play a game of cards, and all this pain will be forgiven. The people that knew them best as five, I think, just have a difficult time accepting their new styles and probably really miss watching all five of them together. The fact that such a beautiful friendship has become so broken hurts many that grew while watching it over the years D;

Beautifully written.

Being a fan of them for the last 6 years, I really felt an attachment to them more than any other artist I had been a fan of and even now I still do. To this day I still can't really look back at their old performances without feeling the pain that I first did when the news came out.

And even if a miracle did happen and things did turn out the way Avex wanted it to, we all know that nothing will ever be the way it used to be.

Usually, most of the time, people who prefer 2VXQ over DB5K are people who didn't get the chance to (really) know them as 5. I don't know how it's really possible to prefer HoMin over DB5K. It's a little heart breaking as a fan of 5 to read those comments times to times. But well. It's up to people i guess. HoMin are doing good as 2 and JYJ are doing good as 3, but it can't even be compared to what they used to be as 5. just my opinion.

THIS. SO TRUE. but some fans who got to know DB5K still prefer homin/jyj. #OT5

I knew them as a 5 member group. I was around in fandom for the first and second Korean albums then dropped out because there were two many crazies and because Jaejoong's voice just isn't to my tastes. (Not saying he's a bad singer. He obviously isn't. His voice just doesn't do it for me).
And I'm another one who prefers 2hoshinki. To each their own, yo.
