t’s just been confirmed that a 16-year-old Swedish “bishounen” will be making his debut in Japan this April with a mini-album titled “REACH the SKY“.
YOHIO will not only impress visual kei fans with his feminine beauty, but with his Japanese and guitar skills as well. YOHIO plays for a Swedish Visual Kei band called ‘Seremedy‘, and he led them on their first Japan tour last April. ‘Seremedy’ also attended the “V-ROCK FESTIVAL’11” as an opening act.
In February of 2009, YOHIO opened his official blog on popular Japanese social network site, ‘AMEBA‘. He revealed that his interest in Japan began when he was 10 years old after he got introduced to anime. He then started to read Japanese blogs, followed Japanese celebrities on Twitter, and took an active interest in learning the language.
Some of YOHIO’s favorite artists are MALICE MIZER (especially GACKT and Mana), Syu (Galneryus) and HIZAKI from Versailles, with whom he is now friends with.
YOHIO is signed to Universal Music Japan, and he will make his solo debut on February 9th at Takadanobaba ESP Music School’s showcase. His album will be released on April 25th.
