Japan is blessed with another Korean superstar

Star entertainer Lee Seung ki will debut as a singer in Japan in March and hold a solo concert at Budokan in Japan in June. During the press conference held at MLB Cafe Tokyo in Yebisu on January 30 before his official debut in Japan, almost 150 news reporters came to cover the story.

Lee Seung Ki sang the title song of his debut single in Japan entitled "Alone in Love" and his hit song "We're Friends." Concerning his plan of holding the concert at Budokan, he said, "I am very glad about holding my concert at such a good venue where only special singing groups can have this great opportunity." Lee Seung Ki will be recorded as a singer who has come to hold a concert at Budokan only after three months after his debut among Korean singing groups.

In addition, Lee Seung Ki revealed that his personality and behavior that he has shown on the variety program "Two Days and One Night" are very close to his real personality. He also said, "If I can ever have the chance, I want to appear on a program in which Korean stars and Japanese star go to trips together."

And he gave a witty answer for the request to appear in a romantic comedy in Japan by saying, "I would like to appear with the actress Ayase Haruka, but I want to play a man with few words as I am not good at speaking Japanese yet." For his last comment, Lee said, "I will do my best to hold activities as a singer and actor like I do in Korea. I want to interact with many Japanese singers and actors, as many as possible in Japan, and we can hopefully someday produce a program in which all of us appear together. I hope that the program will be broadcast both in Korea and Japan at the same time."

Wait, is this lee seung gi? One of the few solo singers that are as popular as IU?

Hmmm. Good luck I suppose. He'll need it.

Btw, is the "blessed" in the title an inside joke?
loverboy 2nd-Feb-2012 02:53 am (UTC)
No inside joke. He's a golden being that blesses anybody he comes into contact with.

Did you seriously just call them "tards?" You do realise that's ableist as fuck, right?
u_chai 2nd-Feb-2012 03:28 am (UTC)
i actually think he's quite cute, boy-next-door. but i'm the only one in this world who thinks he has a basic voice. for some reason everytime i watch him sing, he just can't reach his notes.
maytevb 2nd-Feb-2012 03:12 am (UTC)
Aw, I like him a lot but I had no idea he was a singer. Well, good luck to him :)

Preforming at Budokan is pretty impressive, but I don't think he will do too good in Japan. Maybe some oba-chans will like him, but that's about it.

well if JGS and KHJ can succeed with their drama fans alone, LSG can too...

just saying...

So! I open this to see who the great blessing is, and who do I see but Narimiya Hiroki. "When the hell did he become Korean?! He hides it well, but there's no way it would have been kept a secret this long."

Continue reading to find out that he's just another Korean cutie that looks like Nari. Either way, he looks nice, never heard of him though... Good luck:-p

If I can ever have the chance, I want to appear on a program in which Korean stars and Japanese star go to trips together."

Impossible since most of you guys can't even form a sentence in Japanese.
Hearing foreigners speaking shitty japanese on TV makes me angry.
exdream1999 2nd-Feb-2012 08:29 am (UTC)
Except, he knows his Japanese isn't there yet, and that's why he said he'll try more?

I'm sorry, but since I've spent 12 years learning Japanese, I know how hard it is to not soudn "shitty" when you're first learning how to speak, even if you're trying your best to sound good. Like, I have this problem with "w" sounds and "r" sounds, even in English, so for about 5 years I couldn't say 笑う properly, it came out as わわる, no matter how I tried.

I mean, if I got pissed off everytime someone spoke shitty English, I would have gone psycho years ago since I'm an English teacher and about 95% of my students have "shitty" accents. And they've been studying Enlgish for 3-4 years by now.
aoiblue_kun 2nd-Feb-2012 06:26 am (UTC)
His last comment was pretty cool.
sainomadelaine 2nd-Feb-2012 06:28 am (UTC)
He gives me nothing, he looks like a twelve year-old to me.
carmine_pink 2nd-Feb-2012 07:24 am (UTC)
He does come across like a decent, likeable guy. Good luck to him.

queencrystallia 2nd-Feb-2012 08:25 am (UTC)
this guy is not annoying. i do not know him but he seems like a decent guy compared to other korean groups who go to debut in japan LOL i support o_o
exdream1999 2nd-Feb-2012 08:31 am (UTC)
Although I probably won't listen to his music, I would actually like to watch the kind of programs he mentioned. Overall, I think he's answers were really awesome. <3 I'd even watch his drama with Ayase Haruka, even if his Japanese isn't 100% yet, hell, just basing a drama around two people falling in love despite having a communication barrier would be something that hasn't been overdone in Japan.
fancifury 2nd-Feb-2012 08:31 am (UTC)
he's ugly hope he flops
czarny 3rd-Feb-2012 06:10 pm (UTC)
He's not stunning but it's his voice that matters. ne?
