So excited~ ^^ Sad that Erika didn't continue for Liar Game franchise (she look so awesomely good with Matsu Shota :P) but I'm happy to see her act in something that can make people see her in a new light. :)

yeah.. I'm sad about that too... but I personally like the plot of SPEC more than LG... so I'm happy that she chose SPEC. XD

Mixed feelings about it since I do love Liar Game to pieces for it's clever and brilliant game tactics and plots. It makes me pause here and there throughout watching the drama to make me understand how the game actually works. And the drama is brilliant since it shows how people can make excellent quality dramas with low budget -- all you need is a clever & awesome script and charismatic leading leads.

But, I way prefer smart and weird Erika in SPEC to the sweet Erika in Liar Game. :D

The name Sho is kind of like the name Jack in the Japanese entertainment industry so I was going to post a wall of amazing Shos but I decided a couple of gifs of the most amazing one of them all (doing his very pun-worthy drama) would have to suffice.

Seriously though, I do want to check this out now. How was the original series? What's it all about?

to sum it up... its a quirky female detective meets star male detective off to uncover hard to explain supernatural cases... like X-Files meets Heroes kind of thing. :)

The original series aired in 1999 (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Keizoku) the two dramas are related but both can stand alone... I meant that you can watch the second one without the knowledge of the first one... Both series are really really good though. :D I hope the links can help explain it more. XD

Wish I could watch the first one and the movies following it, though. I heard some rumours from people who watched it that, they could possibly be related? I heard somewhere there was a Tsuda in the first one..

I haven't finished the First one yet (I have been really busy) Tsuda was there and so was Kakarichou... and a certain Miyabi-chan. XDDDD

Yeah I knew of Kakarichou and Miyabi... It seems there related. Someone said he could change 'bodies' (or clones maybe)? like the Tsuda in spec.

Where are you watching the first one? I need to see it! XD I think it's definitely connected somehow, since they're written by the same people.

Tsuda is crazy.. but I feel like he might just have a bunch of clones as well. I wonder who the "top" tsuda is. Seriously, it feels like it might be some conspiracy theory NWO type thing that was in Jiu or the game Infamous... a world with only people with specs? XD

I don't see how the top Tsuda could be anyone but him... seeing as how he seemed to be the one 'pulling all the strings' and the other specs who were helping Chii stopped.

I think maybe some specs can be locked at first, and can be inherited, and just that some people have a natural gift for them, but other's have to unlock them by a means of persistence or trauma. Like with Ninomae's story, because of all the trauma that happened, he wished for time to slow down, and it did and he got to use his spec that way from then on.

yep. All specs are locked... like what Toma keeps saying "Humans only use 10% of their brains... What happens to the other 90%" - or something like it. lol! I can't remember it verbatim but she also said to Kakarichou she just needs to wake up her sleeping SPEC.

though I think her spec is that she's able to make her brain work faster. More like hers work mentally while her brother's work physically.

Yeah, since the whole concept of the show was based around making that myth true~

That makes sense it would be similar since they're siblings.. but it could also be ninomae's spec. I'm sure you remember she lost her hand, and at the end after ninomae died, you can clearly see Toma with a brand spanking new hand.. the same hand ninomae had to use to activate his power. So it could be the same spec, or she needed that hand to somehow unlock her's.

you mean she took his hand? hmm... Toma lost her left hand and Ninomae uses his right hand to snap...
but she probably could activate her SPEC with her left hand... and it'd also be related to Ninomae's XDD (since its glowing in the movie trailer)

Ah I forgot about which hand uses... but still, it would make sense to be at least somewhat related.
Never noticed that before.

Either way, I think thats one of the things that will be answered in the SP. Which is why I'm sooo excited. XD

yeah me too... and how Ninomae was alive after all and what Kakarichou saw at the morgue. XD
though I think there had been a last minute body switch when he tried to snap in front of Chii. XD
and that body was the one that Kakarichou saw and that they used the healer to completely take out the effects of the poison in his body. XD
