What I'm waiting for is Nakata producing badass music for them again. Seriously, I want to hear something like 'Edge' in their music again. D:

I thought he was?

Apparently, he stopped producing songs like Edge, because he got into an arguement with TokumaJapan. I heard that TokumaJapan wasn't too happy with his version of One Room Disco and forced him to change the beats to make it sound more upbeat, which obviously got him mad.

He stopped because Perfume themselves don't like that kind of music. You should hear how elated they are about all the tame songs JPN gave them. :/ Another example: he presented the girls with two versions of "Natural ni Koishite" and they took the slower one.

It's sad, but whatever. Their loss.

Eh, really? I never knew that.

Because all I heard was someone said that A~chan wanted them do something like Edge again, but Nakata objected to it.

But it's pretty sad though. I miss them doing music like that.

They did, "FAKE IT" was what came of that — there were initial misconceptions that he blew off their request because the "VOICE" and "Nee" singles were recorded at the same time and that song ended up being released later. I personally don't find that song comparable to "edge" at all, but it was the harder track they asked for, only because they wanted something to get their fans going at concerts. :( In all their interviews since their last album, they've said their recent pop sound is the direction they'd like to take.

It's disappointing, because their electro sound was the whole reason I got into them, but they're definitely like idols in that their whole style has been pretty false. That's basically why I've moved on to other Japanese electronic artists now.
