The brilliant songwriter and all-around nice guy, Jin Akanishi is about to launch his new album, Japonicana. Some netizens have already gotten their hands on a digital copy and thus on the lyrics of his songs. One in particular is very interesting:

I had to read through this whole post in order to understand what was going on ( because lyrics are just full of mindfuck and they make no sense)

If Jin had Ne-yo write him a hit song would you blame it on "America" then? No you would give all of the credit to Jin because he recorded the song.

It's his song, he recorded it, just accept it!! Stop looking for people to blame when ur fav artist fucks up.

Also what does Rihanna's lyrics have to do with this song? Why are people C+P her lyrics? I really do not understand why people are comparing Jin to Rihanna :/

I'm going to go back and reread the lyrics again and decide on whether or not I'm not seeing what others are seeing due to my my own experiences or is it because I'm currently just seeing the song for what it is in my own interpretation, a double meaning.

Everyone who is saying that date rape is celebrated in American culture is an idiot. IT IS NOT! So called Western music with their dirty lyrics like Rihanna's S&M is way better than Jin musically and lyrically. First, it is consensual sex and it portrays a liberated dominant woman in charge of her sexuality.

Now, I do have a problem with the misogynistic culture of hip hop or even rock (way back in the 70's) but it has tone down this recent years which is a good thing.

I am no longer convinced Jin even penned those earlier solos, with the exception of Love Juice. Johnny probably paid off a budding lyricist, let Jin move a few words around so he could get a songwriting credit, and just made sure the songs fit the image they were packaging for Jin.

Based on the PV for Eternal, those songs must have been a fucking chore for him to perform.

This is disgusting.

Judging so hard everyone who defends this one way or another.

1) Making a good love song on the album, doesn't excuse putting something so offensive. This is a bit too easy, I'm sorry.

2) People are not offended of the sexual act itself. THE NON CONSENSUAL THING MADE PEOPLE RAGE

3) It's okay in Westernians's countries = No it's not. Even if it was, this isn't a standard and doesn't make it okay.

4) It's just a song, no harm done = There is a limit to every liberty of expression, and making a song about it specially makes it look totally okay which shouldn't be.
