Kanjani8 to star in "Eito Rangers" movie in July!


Kanjani8 are going to have an even busier 8th anniversary year- it was recently announced that a superhero film titled "Eito Rangers" starring the members themselves is set for release on July the 28th!

Centred around a legendary hero named "Captain Silver" played by Tachi Hiroshi, the film will be set in the future (2035 to be precise) in the midst of a battle against terrorists.

The "Eito Rangers" originally formed part of a skit corner in Kanjani8's concerts, dreamt up by member Yokoyama You- the rangers were notably absent from 2011's dome tour, but are set to make their comeback in style.



"Eito Rangers" will be directed by Tsutsumi Yukihiko and filming begins on the 6th of March.

Or maybe more like Kanjani8's version of 'Pika*nchi', since 'Kiroii Namida' was more serious in subject matter and based on a manga set during the economic depression? (Something like that, anyway.)

I'm excited that Tsutsumi Yukihiko is directing - that man's everywhere and his resume is astounding, especially with different JE groups. Plus, he directed both 'Pika*nchi' & 'Pika**nchi Double'. This movie is guaranteed to be in good hands.

i'm so happy and proud and all that jazz! I feel like barfing up a hundred rainbows right now.

Given the date of release, I bet this is the kick-off for the concert tour.

Also, this might not be popular opinion but...i really want an uchi guest appearance. :P
