Flawless Matsuko Deluxe to Play The Cat in Aiba's Cat Detective Drama!
It’s been revealed that talento Matsuko Deluxe will be starring in Aiba Masaki’s upcoming drama, “Mikeneko Holmes no Suiri“.
Matsuko will play the incarnation of the mikeneko (three colors of fur) cat named ‘Holmes’. This cat becomes detective Katayama Yoshitaro’s (Aiba) partner and gives him hints to solve various mysteries.
Matsuko expressed, “When I first heard that I would be playing the role of a cat, I thought I would be forced to wear a strange ‘kigurumi’ (cartoon character costume). Anyhow, well, I’m thankful.”
Meanwhile, producer Ikeda Kenji commented, “I thought that the words spoken by the ‘cat’ had to be persuasive and spoken to one’s heart. The only person who can play this role is Matsuko-san.”
“Mikeneko Holmes no Suiri” will air every Saturday at 9:00 pm starting in April.
