Akanishi Jin’s fan club officially dissolved

For the past month ex-KAT-TUN member Akanishi Jin has been undergoing a lot of unfortunate heat for his recent marriage to actress Kuroki Meisa.

When the news of their marriage was made public Jin was forced to cancel his Japan tour as a penalty for going against his agency, after that Jin was made to drop his role in an upcoming drama. Now it’s been announced that his official fan club has been dissolved and this has fans worrying if the singer will be retiring. Akanishi’s fun club was in a joint fun club ‘YOU&J’ which also included KAT-TUN, NEWS and others. The dissolution of his fan club is because of the disbandment of ‘YOU&J’, and each artists will have individual fan clubs.

Johnny’s said that the fan club membership fee’s will be repaid to it’s members after May. The fan club announced a halt on April 19th, that all services have ended after the 28th.

On the official Johnny’s website the reason for the immediate dissolution is because Jin not only has activities in Japan but overseas as well and it’s difficult to control media information (there).

In general I don't like the idea of them splitting You&J Q__Q"
It was so convenient to be able to be in a FC for more groups, especially because I like them all. And having to join their individual FCs would be way too expensive for me. QQ But maybe that's what this is all about. Money. Lol.

But well no FC for Jin is a really hard punishment. Although I wonder what Johnny's is going to do about this concerning concerttickets in Japan and stuff. But well.. they have about a year to think about it carefully, right?

If You & J was going to be broken up anyway, why specifically mention Jin?

Anyway, as much as I liked being able to ballot for KAT-TUN and NEWS tickets with one membership, it was about time everyone got their own fanclub. They should have given fans the option to just transfer over instead of making them pay the 1000 yen fee again.

way to overblow what happened and single out Jin.
The You&J fanclub was dissolved so each group now has their own FC, namely KAT-TUN, NEWS, Kanjani8. Yamapi gets to maintain the You&J name for his own FC.
On the other hand, Jin gets none.
I kind of don't want the FC to be dissolved, considering the 3 groups + Pi have a lot of overlapping fandoms, it was more convenient and less expensive for their fans.

I don't feel bad for him, though I still cannot understand why getting married is such a big deal for artists in Japan. He would deserve all the credit in the world for not dodging his paternal responsibilities and being brave enough to defy his soulless, repulsive agency, but he kind of lost the benefit of the doubt when he started writing crappy, misogynistic music in his desperate attempt to be cool in America.

I'm glad he's losing his fanbase, I just think he's losing it for the wrong reasons.

It wasn't just him getting married. It was the fact that instead of talking about it to his company he did the 'shotgun' thing. Then he let the company find out via the news. That is harsh and was wrong of him.
