AKB48's rival idol group, Nogizaka46 have grabbed the top spot from AKB48 member, Sashihara Rino in the singles chart with their 2nd single, "Oide Shampoo." Sashihara managed to pull away from Nogizaka46 for 5 days in the chart with her debut single, "Soredemo Sukidayo", but since Nogizaka46 won the no.1 ranking on the first day with a big margin, Sashihara hasn't been able to catch up. This is the first time that Nogizaka46 have topped the Oricon chart. On the other hand, Sashihara has become the top-selling debuting soloist this year by surpassing fellow AKB48 member, Watanabe Mayu's "Synchro Tokimeki" which sold 123k in the first week. From AKB48, Sashihara is the 4th soloist to have entered the top 3 weekly chart after Itano Tomomi with "Dear J" (February last year at 2nd), Maeda Atsuko with "Flower" (July last year at 1st), and Watanabe Mayu with "Synchro Tokimeki" (March this year at 2nd).
In the albums chart, popular duo, Yuzu kept the no.1 spot from last week with their best album, "YUZU YOU[2006~2011]". Although they've topped the albums chart 11 times already, this is the first time they have achieved the 2nd consecutive week at no.1 in their 15 years since debut.
Meanwhile, voice actress-singer, Mizuki Nana has dominated the top 2 rankings in the Blu-Ray Disc chart with "NANA MIZUKI LIVE CASTLExJOURNEY -QUEEN-" and "NANA MIZUKI LIVE CASTLExJOURNEY -KING-", selling 19,271 and 18,933 copies respectively. This makes a total DVD+BD for "QUEEN" at 25,134 copies and for "KING" at 24,579 copies. Previously, she has also dominated the top 2 spots in this chart in January last year, making it the first time for an artist to repeat this feat. This makes it the most number of BDs to have topped the chart with 6 works so far.
