Vocalist Yumi Uchimura has left the dormant rock band School Food Punishment, and as a result, the band is announcing on Monday that it is breaking up.
The band had been on hiatus since February.
The four members formed the band in October of 2004 and made their debut on a major label with "futuristic imagination," the ending theme song for Eden of the East. The band then performed theme songs for C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility and Un-Go. The band also composed Maaya Sakamoto's Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing- opening theme song "Buddy" with arranger Ryō Eguchi.
