Kato Shigeaki's Novel "Pink to Gray" Gets Manga Adaptation

It has been announced by Kadokawa Shoten that NEWS' Kato Shigeaki's debut novel "Pink to Gray" will get a manga adaptation. It will be released via Kadokawa's manga magazine "ASUKA" August issue. The writer and illustrator for the manga version hasn't been revealed yet.

"Pink to Gray" tells the story of two best friends who entered the entertainment industry together. However, one became a star while the other gets left behind to supporting roles. The novel talks about the successes and frustrations in the entertainment industry.

Shigeaki wrote the novel during the time when NEWS was idle. Shigeaki mentioned before that he wrote the novel with the intention of excluding everything about him that shouts "boy band". He wanted his novel to show a different side of him.
