GACKT's MOONSAGA conference + he admits his rumored relationship with ICONIQ?
On June 28th, singer GACKT attended a press conference for his upcoming stage play, ‘MOON SAGA ~Yoshitsune Hiden~‘.
Last week, weekly tabloid ‘FRIDAY’ reported that GACKT is in a relationship with ICONIQ. When asked about the rumors, he commented, “I wonder. We’ve never talked about it… so I’ll ask her in bed next time.”
‘MOON SAGA’ is a historical fantasy that’s written and directed by GACKT, and designed by manga-ka CLAMPS. Its story revolves around the anguished life of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, who will be played by GACKT. It also stars Saotome Taichi and former Takarazuka Revue top star Yamato Yuga.
The rest of the cast was announced during this press conference. The cast includes Maekawa Yasuyuki, Takahashi Tsutomu, Fukumoto Shinichi, Kinoshita Seiji, Furumoto Shinnosuke, Akira Tetsunori, Kodo Taya, Suzuka Nana, Suzuka Ayumi, Jidai Kichijiro, and Ohashi Goro.
Saotome said with a smile, “GACKT-san is easy to work with because his directions were very detailed, easy to understand, and polite. It was fun. Before rehearsals, I thought I was going to get hit.”
Meanwhile, GACKT enthusiastically stated, “Since the play stars many women, it’s different from the usual historical play. I wanted to do the presentation techniques without limitations. I’m also trying to make a large-scale set with a stage you’ve never seen before.”
‘MOON SAGA’ will run from July 15th to the 29th at Akasaka ACT Theater. It will also be shown at Misonoza Theater in Nagoya (August 3rd to 11th), Fukuoka Shimin Kaikan in Fukuoka (August 14th to 16th), Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka (August 19th to 26th), and at Tokyo International Forum (September 26th to October 2nd).
