KAT-TUN to provide the theme song for Kanjani8's Yasuda Drama



KAT-TUN, who released their newest single “TO THE LIMIT” last month to favorable reviews, will provide the theme song for MBS/TBS’s drama “Dragon Seinendan”, which will start this month.

“Dragon Seinendan” stars Yasuda Shota, who is a member of Kanjani 8, and is Yasuda’s first solo serial drama. The drama tells the story of the opening of a door that takes one away from daily life into a fantasy. Ueda Makoto, the chairman of Europe Kikaku troupe, wrote the script and directed the drama together with Miki Takahiro, who is known for the hit movies “Solanin” and “Bokura ga Ita”; and Matsui Daigo, who became a hot topic from the movie version of “Afro Tanaka”. Aside from Yasuda, the cast includes Renbutsu Misako, Endo Kaname, Honda Chikara, Araki Yuko, and Yusuke Santamaria.

KAT-TUN’s new song “Fumetsu no Scrum” will be used as the theme song for the drama, but an announcement regarding the release for the song has not been made at this moment. The drama will begin airing on July 14th at 12:55 AM on TBS and on July 19th at 12:55 AM on MBS, so those interested in their new song should check out the drama!

Well, although it's surprising they provide song to Yasu drama instead of their own Yucchi (coz everyone thought they would!) but this isn't the 1st time for Eito right? I heard that TOKIO also provide a song for Ohkura drama before, but none of the member in that drama. After hearing that, I'm not surprise about this anymore ^^

that drama called 'ROMES'. Ohkura was lead actor meanwhile Yasuda co-star in that drama as well :))

More likely, their schedule may already be full. I mean, there're 3 singles already this year, a DVD tour, a SUPER BIG EIGHTH ANNIVERSARY, and usually they'll release an album shortly and maybe a tour before countdown.

'corny band numbers' funny initially i read 'horny band numbers' n i was like ohh whyyy please go for it! n my guess is the same they r already too busy with ER n maru's dorama singles plus the promo for their movie n k8's eighth anniversary thing.. all of that are tooooo muchhh

Already seen this floating in twitter, but still!! I mean, why didn't Kat-tun provide the song for Boys on the Run instead? Their Ueda is there, right...

But I'm here not to complain. Rather surprised that there are so many EitoXKattun collaboration these day, yeaa happy to see this...

I was wondering too, they could have provided the theme song for Boys on the Run, and K8 to sing for Yasuda's drama. But oh well, that's how they roll. It could have something to do with the song fitting drama theme and what not.

oh well, Eito are already over exposed right now with all the things happening with their 8th. It's good that it may give them a bit more space to breath.

This could still be a B-side though. KT members' drama theme songs are always A-side and this time they are skipping Nakamaru's drama theme song. It could have been the next single if ever.

lolz, they can sing for Maru or Ueda's dramas, not their choice if management wants their song for a K8 drama.

my guess is initially k8 was planned to sing the theme song for both maru's n yasu's dorama but then their schedule is conflicted so kattun generously fill in for them.. or they were asked to do so

SAY WHAT!!!! oh hell no!!!1 Kanjani8 just started singing the theme songs for their members dramas what the hell KT-TUN is taking it from them and this is Yasu first lead role AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!! this is F**king messed up!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont hate Kt-tun but really, REALLY!!!!
