uh nice.. korean girl groups have a really good influence on the jpop music. finally japanese girls groups look more feminine and mature than in the past 10 years.
not saying kpop didnt have any influence, I think flower and e-girls in general is heavily influenced by exile. You cant find any girlgroup with flower kind of format in kpop
Not sure if your just trolling or what, but Flower owe a lot more to the traditions of Exile than to any Hallyu influence. (Although I do agree that Hallyu's had a good influence on Jpop in the last couple of years). Also, I think your image of Japanese girl pop might be a bit limited.
And you should learn to talk properly :) "shitty" is not a very elegant way to start a conversation. I am JPop since 12 years now and I lived in Japan for a while. I know that in Japan the girl group image is just different from the image in South Korea. The fanbase of japanese girl groups is filled with men and mostly middle aged guys. Thats the reason why the girls like Morning Musume, AKB48 and co. need to have a pure and cute, less sexy and more childish looks and image. In Korea the girl groups generelly look older and more mature. The songs and the choreografies are also more sexy. Of course there used to be girl groups like SPEED or MAX (made by avex) years ago but in the last 10 years the most japanese girl groups did not have that style. Thats the reason why I think Flower is more inspired by korean girl groups because since 2010 a lot of korean girl groups debuted in Japan and that was the period when Flower debuted. Of course I see that they are the "female version of Exile" but their looks is more mature and sexy like of korean girl groups. That's just my opinion.
Yes I see your point but AVEX had girl groups before like SWEETS. They were very talented, great singers and dancers but still they had that idolish look and looked veeery young. I think AVEX is very smart and they understand that the new generation of girl groups like SNSD or KARA is more popular among women then men (especially because those groups are korean and not japanese. Japanese men prefer japanese girl groups with an idol image like AKB48). That's the reason why they also let a girl group debut who has more the "lady-like" or "women-like" image and more mature lyrics.. like Flower. So yes, I really see the kpop influence there.
I don't think you know J-pop very well considering the fact that you think SPEED and MAX are made by Avex.
This PV is purely J-pop. What's Kpop-ish about it? Nothing.
By the way, K-pop girl groups like SNSD and KARA debuted with a cutesy image that looked J-pop-ish. Now, they are Americanized. I'm not hating on them, because I'm a fan of both groups.
Ok that's true about SPEED but MAX was an avex group at the beginning. From 1995 till 2005 they were produced by AVEX TRAX.
I guess this diskussion could go forever. I think there is a huge influence there considering the fact how popular KPop girls groups (but also boy groups) are right now in Japan. But it's my opionion and you are free to disagree ;)
Avex Trax is just a recording label. You can't say SPEED or MAX are Avex groups. It's wrong.
Avex also produced music for Kis-my-ft2 and V6. Are you going to say they are Avex groups? Surely not.
Exactly, it's your opinion. Don't make it sound like a fact. I disagree with your opinion because the style E-girls use comes from EXILE. EXILE's style isn't new. They are influenced by American music since their debut. The current K-pop is also influenced by American music.
The only J-pop group that is clearly influenced by K-pop is bump.y. They worked with Korean producers.
I think the new J-pop girl groups that aren't cutesy are trying to bring the 90s J-pop back. With E-girls sticking to EXILE's style and Fairies trying to be the new SPEED, carrying the Vision Factory DNA.
You said all those things before about JPOp and KPop girl groups but for me it's obvious that before SNSD or 4 min. came to Japan there were for a loooong loooong time no JPop girl group with a similar female+sexy+mature style. I think the manager and producers of all those new girl groups are only thinking about money and the best way to promote a new girl group. AND like I said before: IT'S MY OPINION and I stand behind it ;)And yes I think it's great that you also stand behind your opinion but I won't change mine either :). So I guess we should just end this topic.
When did SNSD and 4minute come to Japan? When did Kpop in general come to Japan? 2009? 2010? That time, Dream, Happiness (6 members era), FLOWER (4 members era), SPEED, MAX, BRIGHT, Rhythmic and Sherry already existed. All groups I just listed are known for their mature style.
Btw, I think it's wrong to bring SNSD to this topic, because SNSD debuted with a cutesy style.
