The currently on-hiatus Japanese-American singer-songwriter Utada Hikaru has her recent tweets misunderstood by Korean netizens (specifically Korean twitter users).
On her post dated August 11th, Utada tweeted about how she was glad for the Korean team who won against Japan in the men's soccer division and that they don't have to do military service anymore. However, some Korean twitter users misunderstood her tweets, ending up some in rant against her. It was then later explained by Utada herself:
