It is not known but Meisa is like a "daughter" to Johnny Kitagawa

At the press conference on Oct 27 to launch the "Johnny World" stage show commemorating his Guiness Word record, Johnny Kitagawa commented about Jin for the first time since the birth of his baby.  The media felt that Johnny's feeling for Jin and Meisa is rather complicated.

The media asked Johnny when will Jin return to work.  Johnny did not give a specific time to when Jin will come back.  Instead he said: "Jin is a father now.  I want them to be responsible in taking care of this child.  I want to cooperate with them.  He has to take care of his family first before he can return to work".

Johnny is giving his blessings to Jin and Meisa by declaring he was never against Jin and Meisa's marriage.  Publicly, he appeared stern and harsh to Jin's shotgun marriage but in private Johnny is backing them up with his support. (entertainment relationship expert).

Although not very well known,  Jin is Johnny's favorite and Meisa is also his "special favorite".  Meisa came to Tokyo from Okinawa in her teens to work.  Johnny has put her in many dramas starring Johnny's talents.  Johnny's always supporting her both in public and private.

Speaking of Johnny's and Sweet Power, the dating rumor of Noriyuki Higashiyama  and Rina Uchiyama was most famous.  Even though they had broken up but the friendly relationship between Johnny's and Sweet Power still remained today.   So it is not surprising that Meisa is  like Johnny's "special daughter".

Johnny felt betrayed when Jin and Meisa got married without informing him.  But Johnny also has a complicated relationship with both of them.  Sorta like a "son and daughter" relationship.

I was asked to translate this article a couple weeks ago but I was reluctant to do so because I really don't like that old man Johnny here it is and again, sorry for any mistakes.

So if they are so special to Johnny, they abused his trust?

I don't like this - after whole mess, chaos and scandal now we have the campaign "bring Akanishi back"? Let's show we love him? He needed some time to think? Now he learned to be responsible, so he's trustworthy? No matter that this scandal affected so many people - KAT-TUN, Taichi-kun for example. That Johnnys were banned from even drinking with friends and management has to think about "who shouldn't be invited to event because of blacklist"? No matter, that some boys made just one minor mistake of drinking or smoking underage and it broke their careers? Because they weren't favourite enough?

I love him, but he creates so many different feelings in me, that I prefer him working hard to gain back my trust. Johnny's words aren't enough.

I love you girl. And I share the same sentiment as you. It's kinda sad that the favorite always forgiven no matter what they did. It's pretty unfair to the non-favorite ones. And honestly, I don't like this playing favorite thing for.... Anything & everything.

Right on. I'm all for second chances but after everything he put KAT-TUN, the company and the fans through surely he's run out of chances and goodwill. He should work his way back up rather than just be handed everything back.

Damn straight. ♥ your comment.

A shotgun wedding + baby doesn't immediately make a person responsible, nor should it improve PR. If anything, it makes Jin's shitty PR even worse.

I love him too, and I support his happiness with his new family, but if he's planning for a comeback, he better work hard for it.

Excellent points. Favoritism itself is wrong, though everyone knows it happens in the entertainment industry every day of the week. But when favoritism reaches the level where it outright ruins the careers of non-favorites, they need to tone it down. Of course, that'll never happen.

i agree. i think the entertainment industry exists along side it.

I agree. I know some people that think that Johnny/JE has been really hard on Jin but I think the exact opposite. He's been given more chances that anyone else would have been given if they had been in his place.

I find it weird that this article states that he's "supportive" of their marriage, especially after reading about the rumor that other Johnny's had been warned not to contact Jin. I feel that this constant push-and-pull of affection is just a way to keep Jin's name alive in the public so that when he makes his eventual come-back it'll make that much more of an impact.

I don't think there is anything wrong with Jin getting married and having a family but I don't like the way his career is being tugged around.

I don't think the blacklist and ban on drinking with certain people was introduced only because of Jin and Meisa. Of course it did play a huge part, but if there was no girl scandal in the history of johnnys ever, this itself imho wouldn't lead to such a result.

No matter, that some boys made just one minor mistake of drinking or smoking underage and it broke their careers? Because they weren't favourite enough?

no, because they were underage, end of story. It's a big deal in Japan and johnnys is a company working with tons of kids, thus closely watched. Either way, happens even outside of johnnys, nothing to do with favoritism. And even those could get a second chance like Uchi did.

Johnny getting asked about Jin and answering the question doesn't mean a "bring Akanishi back (possibly on the top again)" campaign and it's not like his return has been announced. No doubt he will have to work harded than ever before in order to get back all the fans that left (or undecided like you), gain new ones and overcome all the obstacles thrown at him by the media and both non-fans and fans alike. And don't forget he did have his punishment which wasn't by any means light.

"no, because they were underage, end of story."
P has been caught at underage smoking, the pic's never been that much spread, I wonder why...
