UTADA IS BACK: Sakura Nasaghi

Utada Hikaru has been on hiatus since early 2011 and we haven't heard about any new release since then.
Today, she released on her official YouTube channel a new video for a new song called Sakura Nagashi. The single is also released on iTunes Japan.

My entry got rejected. :/ But yeah, beautiful song. And it's thanks to the release of Evangelion 3.0. Utada sung the themes for the previous two movies, so that's why the sudden release. She's not out of hiatus, or something. Praise Evangelion, Utada fans.

ugh i wish i was seeing this in theaters. i might put out the money to travel if they do a screening in nyc like 2.0.

In any case, I was in TEARS when I saw this posted on my Facebook and I'm just excited. This song is flawfree.

Apparently, this will only be available for the next 3 days on her YouTube channel and English translated lyrics will be posted soon.

Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo was unveiled in its entirety and opened on November 17. Its theme song is Sakura Nagashi, a song created for this movie by Utada Hikaru, who also wrote the theme song for the previous movie. Although Utada is currently focusing her energies on her “human activities,” she agreed to create this song, thanks to the fervent requests made by the movie production staff and the deep appreciation for Evangelion held by Utada herself, who also created the movie theme songs for the two prior Evangelion movies.

Unlike the theme songs for 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone and 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, the latest song is sentimental and beautiful; it is a requiem for life full of literary elegance.

What can I say, it's just a beautiful song. A perfect, perfect and touching song.
Sad that it's just one song but I hope she comes back from her hiatus in 2013.

Yeah she is still on Hiatus and thus may have done this song a while ago. Just kept it under wraps until the movie was ready for release.

I still love Hikki and have added this song to my collection. <3333
