Yamada Ryosuke, Hey! Say! First Solo Debut

Popular member of Hey! Say! JUMP, Yamada Ryosuke‘s solo debut has been decided.

Debut song “Mistery Virgin” will be the theme song of NTV’s drama SP “Kindaichi Case Files: Hong Kong Kowloon Treasure Murder Case” where Yamada challenges the role of a high school detective. A song with a mysterious atmosphere, a drifting dance number and lyrics to match perfectly with the image of the drama.

Up until now he has performed in concerts alone and as a member of Hey! Say! JUMP, although he has shown his talent in singing and dancing before, this is the first time to perform an original solo song which will be released as a CD.

JUMP’s first attempt as solo artist, Yamada, “I’m glad I can do this in such a memorable occasion (60th Broadcasting Anniversary of NTV), though this has always been something in my dreams, I’m overjoyed”, he happily said.

Currently working in Tokyo Imperial Theater as part of the main cast of “JOHNNY’S World”, dedicated to commemorate Mr. Johnny Kitagawa (81) Guinness Certification Memorial. “I want to keep working hard and devoting myself as Hey! Say! JUMP’s Yamada Ryosuke”, he vowed.

His debut performance as solo artist will be held live in NTV’s music festival “Best Artist 2012″ to be broadcasted in November 28th (7PM). The single will be released in January 9th, 2013.

I hope he won't overwork himself, he didn't look too happy the last months :(

I'm so happy for Yama-chan ;___;!! I don't follow HSJ so closely anymore but this is a must-buy.

it's ok if you won't leave JUMP yamachan. don't be the next yamapi and jin . don't ever leave JUMP ok
convenience93 17th-Nov-2012 12:24 pm (UTC)
well everyone knew that this was coming no? lol.

But congrats yamada!!! I am looking forward to it. He's a charismatic young chap, sure it'll go well.

And please, I don't want any more HSJ members leaving. HSJ were my first Jpop fandom, and I still love em loads. It'll really hurt to see another leave. I do feel HSJ's dynamics are better than NEWS/KAT-TUN so I shall have a little more faith just for now :3

What exactly is 'Mistery Virgin' meant to mean??
crazgal5 18th-Nov-2012 02:10 am (UTC)
My thoughts exactly...

I'm not really a HSJ fan (mainly because they wouldn't give inoo-chan more screen time) but soo happy for yamada :) To all those saying that Yamada wiuld probably be the next pi/jin and those who says otherwise, my say on the matter is "people change" he may or may not be the next pi/jin. All fans can do is to support his decision in the future. As a NEWS fan, I was really upset that RyoPi left. In the past, Pi said that he'd never leave NEWS and I believed that. But him leaving the group was his decision and all I could do was accept it and be happy for him. I think fans should just support Yamada and HSJ no matter what the outcome of Yamada's solo debut may be. but that's just my opinion :)

happy for him^^
hoppefully this solo going to be really good^^
he is the next big things xD

but hopefully he would not go through the same road as Yamapi and would stay forever in Jump no matter how successful his solo career is :P

I saw this coming, but he better be not leaving HSJ for good!

“I want to keep working hard and devoting myself as Hey! Say! JUMP’s Yamada Ryosuke”

I already heard comments similar to this. From Akanishi and Yamapi. So don't get me wrong if I think that his comment is all shit.

Oh well, I have nothing against the kid. I dunno if he's good enough or what but I won't judge. Just do your best kid and the rest will follow whatever path you will choose.

OMG I sound like his mom. LOL

I would like to see one or two years ahead whether he'll leave his groups or not *take 'popcorn'*
scubajr 17th-Nov-2012 03:17 pm (UTC)
I saw this coming from a mile away. I think everyone did. Though I will never stop laughing at that song title.

That's quite a suprise to me that people's reaction to this news turn out quite nice and possitive (or is it only here?). I was afraid of something much more terrible, that's really a relief. Anyway congratulation Yamada on your CD debut! I like you to have solo songs once in a while and perform them in Jump's concert, not on your own stage by yourself, at least not now. Still too soon for both your age and ability. Though I'll always support you no matter what!
rosesnwine88 18th-Nov-2012 01:03 am (UTC)
wow, congrats to him! :D
though this was not surprising, expected actually, he deserves it. what's with the title, though? xDD
and, yeah, he better stay in HSJ. :P

Googled the meaning of 'Mistery', even Google is confused.

So, what does 'Mistery Virgin' mean?? Not that most Jpop titles make sense to me, tbh -__-".

Happy for him, I guess ^__^.
the_crammer 18th-Nov-2012 02:47 am (UTC)
I think him leaving or not will not be purely his decision (management duh!)...

I just hope he does not suddenly collapse due to over fatigue or whatever. He looks exhausted these past few weeks.
miuratenshi 18th-Nov-2012 03:09 am (UTC)
I don't think Yamada will leave JUMP. But the thing that worries me is the parallels between NEWS and JUMP. They were pretty much formed the same way, have had similar scandals, and now the member with a super amount of popularity is getting a solo debut.

Also OP what video is that GIF from?

hello younger version of yamapi.
bridgetothesky 18th-Nov-2012 07:13 am (UTC)
dont follow hsj that much but ive watched pretty much his whole johnnys life starting from his audition in yayayah. he was my favorite otoutou junior back in the day like 6-7 years ago back when everyone was still screaming yuuto. so i can actually tell that hes one of the only younger generations that still has that 'talent' if you will to be a good idol. he really knows how to perform n move his body as well as knows how to do camera mesen and is creative/knows how the camera films him.

i know ppl are probably sensitive about this a lot, but performance wise hes really similar to when jin was young too (its a good thing). his expressions and yanchaness and his style n sense of doing things is maji similar. its a good thing- these days all the juniors/younger generations are too iiko n not yancha enough to properly have that idol aura. so i know he will def succeed in the solo, just hope he wont get too choshinori sugi n get carried away or cocky n end up like some of our older ones..

Every time I across about Yamada, My only thought is Koichi! Koichi! lol, since he admires and resemble Koichi a lot (fortunately not his natural airhead & old man chara lol). So,My first thought of his solo debut was "oh,at such a young age. will the genre is like Koichi's? full of intense & sexy dancing? :p

well anyway,Congrats to Yamada!
I want to see his 1st TV performance on Best Artist~
