Yamada Ryosuke, Hey! Say! First Solo Debut

Popular member of Hey! Say! JUMP, Yamada Ryosuke‘s solo debut has been decided.

Debut song “Mistery Virgin” will be the theme song of NTV’s drama SP “Kindaichi Case Files: Hong Kong Kowloon Treasure Murder Case” where Yamada challenges the role of a high school detective. A song with a mysterious atmosphere, a drifting dance number and lyrics to match perfectly with the image of the drama.

Up until now he has performed in concerts alone and as a member of Hey! Say! JUMP, although he has shown his talent in singing and dancing before, this is the first time to perform an original solo song which will be released as a CD.

JUMP’s first attempt as solo artist, Yamada, “I’m glad I can do this in such a memorable occasion (60th Broadcasting Anniversary of NTV), though this has always been something in my dreams, I’m overjoyed”, he happily said.

Currently working in Tokyo Imperial Theater as part of the main cast of “JOHNNY’S World”, dedicated to commemorate Mr. Johnny Kitagawa (81) Guinness Certification Memorial. “I want to keep working hard and devoting myself as Hey! Say! JUMP’s Yamada Ryosuke”, he vowed.

His debut performance as solo artist will be held live in NTV’s music festival “Best Artist 2012″ to be broadcasted in November 28th (7PM). The single will be released in January 9th, 2013.

What a dangerous move for a young group that just bounces back from a scandal and member leaving. This smells like NEWS. Scandal, member leaving, bounces back with a single that sells well, then the most popular/singled out member gets a solo debut...The top management is going to have to make sure that he doesn't like being a soloist too much (cue Yamapi), or else history will repeat all over again.

And oh, I understand the fans faith in him that he'll never leave JUMP. But NEWS' fans believed that Yamapi would never leave NEWS too and that he loved NEWS so much. Right now IMO, whatever is coming out from Yamada's mouth, take it with a grain of salt, because you'll never know what will happen, and you'll never know how his feelings might change after he debuts.

Lol or he can actually make his group BIG as they are pushed as JE's next generation of stars. No one knows what may actually happen but not everyone in JE gets a solo debut so I bet Yamada fans are hyperventilating right now.

Not everyone in JE gets a solo debut, which is why every other people has raised concerns IMO. It's OK to not be too happy, or be more cautious.

Yamapi also said that he will never leave NEWS the first time he got his solo debut at 2006, but he seemed to enjoy it a bit, and he just realized it at beginning 2009 (he needed 3 years lol). Let's see with Yamada's decision few years later then, lol.
