Wanting a chance to major debut? Avex is holding its Avex Audition MAX 2013.

Avex is going to have a audition and it seems they are trying to have artists and actors that can compete internationally.

avex will be holding auditions in London, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore and Taipei.

Winning participants will be invited to participate in the finals to be held in Tokyo next April!

Successful participants will be promised a shot at debuting on a major label, complete with our full backup.

avex, which will commemorate the 25th year since our founding, will be holding a large-scale audition in Japan.
We are pleased to announce that this will be accompanied by auditions to be held in five cities overseas!

Successful participants will be exposed to the chance to debut on a major label
and benefit from accompanying support, as well as to greater
opportunities to be professionally active in the capacity of back
dancers and so forth.

If you’re looking to set the world stage on fire as part of the avex family, apply to enter our audition now!

<Entry Categories>

Artist Categories: Singer/Vocalist/Singer Songwriter

<Winner Recognition>

Winning participants will be invited to the finals slated to be conducted in
April 2013 (with travel and hotel expenses to be paid courtesy of
avex.). What’s more, these participants will have a shot at
debuting on a major label, complete with our full backup.

<Past Recruitment Record>

At our New York audition conducted in May 2012, two participants entered a
debut support contract with us. These participants subsequently began
taking lessons in the US, which avex provided free of charge, under the
tutelage of a Grammy award-winning vocal trainer. Similarly, at the Los
Angeles audition held in July 2012, one participant entered a similar
agreement with avex.

wahh I wanna try! *_* (and If I win, I'll go to Japan and see the GazettE! Haha)
But nahhh, I doubt i'll pass the initial round though :P
Why does everyone always go to LA? No one ever goes to San Francisco.

The nearest one to my country is Singapore :'(
I wonder if I can apply for that despite not being a Singapore citizen...

I wish there was a category for composer/producer. If I hone my instrumental skills, I could just produce songs for other artists and collect the royalties. How cool would it be for your faves to sing the songs you made?
tokyocinema 8th-Dec-2012 04:23 pm (UTC)
ugh, alas I don't have the money to travel all the way to new york otherwise I'd be there in a hot minute.

I guess I'll find some other way >_
piratecat 8th-Dec-2012 06:12 pm (UTC)
I think I might send in an application :) It'll be fun just to try, anyway!

I passed the demo/application review in Los Angeles this year & got to audition. It went super well and the producers called my songs beautiful but alas, I understand they only take one person and my Japanese is not that strong and I was too shy to speak it.

Here we go again!

Oh that's great! You can try again this time.
Do they really only take one person in each location?
energenki 8th-Dec-2012 06:41 pm (UTC)
They're coming to Sapporoooooooooo wooooooo~~

Obviously I have very little chance of making it, especially with my poor Japanese conversational skills, but I'll sure as heck try *^*
minam_shi 8th-Dec-2012 09:02 pm (UTC)
After all... I think I'll try :P
Even if I will have to take my money for Japan to go to London
sergel02 9th-Dec-2012 05:14 am (UTC)
The whole needing to speak and understand Japanese thing is probably what'll get me lol. Could i just be like Che'nelle and make a cover album or something?

Anyway, I feel like I'd have an easier chance of working in the u.s. industry, maybe since I live in California.

Still wouldn't hurt to send an application in though.

my friend has been learning Japanese for more than 8 years and she still find it difficult to converse well because there's not many japanese-speaking people around for her to practice with... I think avex just wants overseas japanese to apply lol...
