Love SMAP as Ootori. Good luck and godspeed, Nakai!
Hop on a motorcycle and get to CDTV in a blink of an eye.
Just sayin', it's going to be some tight schedule for him. Again.

As much I love EXILE, I'm really sick of Rising Sun already.
statr 26th-Dec-2012 01:16 am (UTC)
totally agree with this :( wasn't Rising Sun released two years ago already?
exdream1999 26th-Dec-2012 02:17 pm (UTC)
No?

Rising Sun was released last fall as a charity single after the earthquake.

Though given how often they perform it, it's very easy to believe that it's been two years.

oh, just checked it now and it was released last September 2011. and yeah, maybe that's why the song feels like it's been overplayed to my ears now.

Thank you for sharing~
Perhaps it's a stupid question but what do the numbers in the brackets mean?? I never get those numbers....
statr 26th-Dec-2012 01:14 am (UTC)
The numbers inside the brackets represent the number of times that artist/group has participated in Kouhaku. Like for example in Arashi's case, it's number 4 since they have appeared on Kouhaku for four times now (2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012).
arara_chan 26th-Dec-2012 01:44 am (UTC)
Thank you! :)
dragonrider888 26th-Dec-2012 01:19 am (UTC)
Pretty sure it means the number of times the performer will have appeared on Kouhaku, including this year. The kanji 初 means it's the performer's first time.

Hope that helps!
arara_chan 26th-Dec-2012 01:45 am (UTC)
Yes, thank you :)
taylorniw 26th-Dec-2012 01:44 am (UTC)
Kohaku needs to introduce some special stages or something.
dearmisterecho 26th-Dec-2012 03:48 am (UTC)
Looking forward to seeing Wada Akiko-sama and Perfume

was traveling during New Years Eve last year and couldn't see it, but I'm gonna be plopped in front of the TV with an epic pile of snacks next Monday :D
leduchiep 26th-Dec-2012 04:54 am (UTC)
i was kinda hoping Perfume would perform Spending All My Time and blow everyone away with their routine :)) anyway, Spring Of Life is good.
placetohide 26th-Dec-2012 06:50 am (UTC)
Definitely don't regret that I will be at Countdown Japan instead of watching this. :X
sakana93 26th-Dec-2012 10:46 am (UTC)
I'm jelly :((
botanbutton 26th-Dec-2012 07:34 am (UTC)
So excited for K8 and Golden Bombers!
citrine047 26th-Dec-2012 08:20 am (UTC)
shit, ayu will be opening the show, i really need to get home early
whited_79 26th-Dec-2012 10:20 am (UTC)
K8 will start the second half at 23rd order, that should be around 9 pm...:)
hadashi_no_eden 26th-Dec-2012 11:23 am (UTC)
Which hopefully means they will make it to the JE Countdown. :)
whited_79 26th-Dec-2012 03:34 pm (UTC)
they should, since TOKIO are always in JCD and they're performing 2 spots after K8...
lelomew 26th-Dec-2012 02:40 pm (UTC)
Thanks for the heads up :)

But am I the only one who's not THAT keen on Musekinin Hero...? I was hoping either enka or band stuff.
whited_79 26th-Dec-2012 04:24 pm (UTC)
they already said it's going to be a super medley, besides if they're going to do only Musekinin Hero they would've said it directly like everyone else...

though doing a band song is probably not a good idea since they're paired up with MomoClo...
lelomew 26th-Dec-2012 10:32 pm (UTC)
Hmm. I'm aware it's gonna be a medley, but I'm guessing Musekinin Hero would be a part of it as well. I think I'm just being super picky; when I first heard of Eito years ago, I thought they did "happy" songs and those that are a bit out there (like Sukiyanen, Osaka) - which I dearly love, but I assumed that was it. Clearly wrong. It wasn't until this year when I got fully stuck in and realised, wow, there's so much more to them! Kouhaku would be a great chance to showcase another side of Eito, but whatever, I'm really happy for the boys :)
exdream1999 26th-Dec-2012 02:20 pm (UTC)
Kind of surprised that Princess Princess isn't closing since it'll be their last performance ever.

I just have to decide what's going to be my main after Kohaku program. :/

AND I need to find me a good Kohaku meal to have while watching.
loanwords 27th-Dec-2012 02:12 pm (UTC)
I won't even lie. I'm most looking forward to Ishikawa Sayuri. I love her and that's my favorite song of hers. Really it's my favorite enka song ever.
