The drama has started, Arashi fans are divided over show cancellation!

As reported earlier, Arashi's show Hitmitsu no Arashi chan is ending soon.  Only Sakurai Sho will remain on TBS to co-host a new variety show starting in April.

Rivalry in Johnny's groups are normal such as Nakai and Kimutaku of SMAP, Akanishi and Kamenashi of KAT-TUN.  But Arashi is different.  They're a very close group.  In concerts, they often take break and have drinking session together with all 5 of them.   There is an unwritten rule that even if they're in a bad mood, all five of them will form a circle and eat rice together in the dressing room.   But when TBS cancelled their show,  Arashi fandom is starting to show division.  They're starting to question why only Sho is remained at TBS to co-host another show with Hiroyuki Ariyoshi.   And they're bashing Sho by saying he's getting fat and showing his fat face on TV.  The mental abuse has started.  It's all because fans were shocked that their favorite Arashi show is gone.

Let's just hope this is only the fandom reaction and Arashi members still remain as close as they've always been.  But it is worrisome that this division may not go in a good driection.

This is nothing new xD Arashi fandom is usually a giant mess. If that's why people are bashing Sho then that's a little ridiculous and stupid.

sho is amazing like all of the arashi. stupid fandoms and what not. this is why FANS (like that) are stupid. they think that because they are fans they have the right to judge sho. his body is not fat. his face has gotten a bit more round but i am sure it is not because he is fat -.- UGH. maybe it is a health related issue >.< they should stop being such asses

and okay himitsu no arashi-chan is over. IT DOESN'T MATTER i am sure that later on more varieties of theirs will come ><

tbs was gonna end the show anyway, just be glad that sho would be in the new show since they can easily find any other MC instead of an arashi member

sho has MC capabilities, so why not? just because they are not in a group hosting a variety show on tbs, that's no reason to degrade and question sho.

...right, pretty sure Arashi doesn't give a damn about the change in programming. They know they're famous, they don't all need to be present on every show to maintain that fame. If anything, the only band-related project they all seem the most concerned with is their live concerts. And even then, Jun is there to make sure everything looks pretty.

Side-eyeing the dramatic wording of the article, but having witnessed the "Sho is fat" issue I really wonder where exactly those fans are coming from. Yes, the Japanese are more upfront about the body weight issue than other countries, but most of the time they're not cruel about it. What, do those fans think the other members will point at him and laugh? Is he suddenly no longer the Sakurai Sho they know because his face was a little rounder for a while, should he hide in shame over it? He's already said he doesn't do the moderation thing very well; he'll overeat for a while, then go on a strict diet. It's just what he does. Why should those extra few pounds dictate his future career opportunities?

Nino had a new show announced too, though. I wouldn't be at all surprised if new projects were announced for the other members in the next month or two, too.

Honestly it's not like the members make these decisions anyway. I'm sure Sho was ASKED to co-host this show, and why would he turn it down? It's terrible that there are fans who think that Arashi would be so petty as to get angry at each other over something like this. Do they really have that little faith in them?

I mean .. as soon as they started doing vip limousine I had a feeling the show would be ending soon anyway, with all that Nakajima drama.. I will miss it though. I thought share house was going well, and I really like the set up and the relaxed atmosphere of the show. But It's not like Arashi doesn't have TWO OTHER SHOWS being broadcasted. I hope they can use this little break in filming to relax and have time for themselves :)

Anyway, I'm excited to see how Sho will do! Very well, I'm expecting because he is an EXCELLENT host :) And I'm even MORE excited for Nino's new show! Even if it will only be 10 episodes.

They've lost their minds calling Sho fat. If Kim Jaejoong only weighs 125 at 5'10 to 5'11, Sho can not weight much over that since I think he's only around 5'7, regardless of what his many online profiles may say. After watching their recent live, his little waist looks like it is about 24 inches or less. His face doesn't even look much rounder to me, just not pinched. He's got a heart shaped face anyway. Yeah, they're all starting to show their age in their facial skin(except that freak Nino), but I actually like it. Nino and Ohno really freak me out at around 100 pounds. Yeah, they are short and small framed, but you seldom see a European or American male who weighs so little, even at that height.

How credible is the source anyways? Since all I've been seeing since the announcement about HnA were comments that were somewhere along the lines of "hell yeah, HnA was getting boring", or "finally they'll have more time to rest" and just general Qsts about sho's show :P
