Arama They Didn't

Last May 28th, Arashi’s Sakurai Sho attended the production announcement for NTV’s 12 Hrs Live Music Show, titled: “THE MUSIC DAY Ongaku nochi kara“. Sakurai will serve as the overall host for this 12 hours music special while Kanjani8 will act as MC for a special corner. A first in TV history, Sakurai is enthusiastic about hosting the program where he looks forward to lots of music and reminiscing in lieu with the programs theme, “Connecting people through time and space with the power of music”.

Sakurai, with his group Arashi, have been chosen to act as hosts again for NTV’s “24 Hour TV” said that even though [MUSIC DAY] is half the time of “24 Hr TV”, they share the same thought. Hatori Shinichi will also act as Sakurai’s co-host.

Kanjani8 will only appear for the last 2 hours of the show where they will be in charged for “cover and collaboration live” of famous songs. Since this is the group’s first time to MC a live music show, Sakurai was asked for an advice, “don’t fool around too much, be serious,” he said. However, Kanjani8′s Yokoyama Yu asked Maruyama Ryuhei to start fooling around to see what Sakurai will do to stop him. In the end, Murakami joked that if Maru starts fooling too much, Sakurai can just grab him by the neck. Though playing tricks is Kanjani8′s specialty, Murakami Shingo said that they will take Sakurai’s advice seriously.

The program’s “The Greatest Live Songs” Part 1 & 2 will be hosted by Sakurai; afterwards, he will moved to Kanjani8′s corner where the group will host “utau de! odoru de! THE kava (cover) kora (collab) TV“. Furthermore, real-time sound game, “嵐Feat.YOU” will be used for the first time to enhance audience participation.

“THE MUSIC DAY Ongaku no chikara” will be live in Makuhari Messe, Chiba on July 6th starting at 10:30 (JST).
