Mao Inoue films for a tug-of-war scene!

On November 23rd, reporters were invited to the set of the upcoming movie “Tsuna Hiichatta!“, where they were able to witness a tug-of-war scene at a primary school.

The whole cast was there that day, including Inoue Mao, Matsuzaka Keiko, Tamayama Tetsuji, Nishida Naomi, Sonim, and Watanabe Naomi. They were filming an exciting practice match against the local junior tug-of-war team, which made all the participants break out in a sweat. The eight actresses who participated in the scene were able to finish it sooner than expected, but all of them decided to stay behind in order to practice.

Inoue explained, “We’re still not good enough and we won’t be able to pull off the scenes if we don’t improve step by step. This means we have to practice more.”

Precious 3rd Doraemon CM for Toyota aired

The third installment in the live-action Doraemon ad campaign starring international film star Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional, Mission: Impossible, The Da Vinci Code) began airing in Japan on Friday. "Nobita's Detachment from Doraemon" is the newest 30-second television commercial in the Toyota Motor Corporation's ad series which depicts the characters of the classic children's manga Doraemon in live-action, two decades after they grow up.

Since the first ad two weeks ago, actor Satoshi Tsumabuki (Dororo, Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Smuggler) has been playing Nobita, the hapless owner of Doraemon. Joining Reno in the second commercial are former News band member Tomohisa Yamashita (Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Kurosagi) as Nobita's friend Suneo and actress Asami Mizukawa (Nodame Cantabile, Dark Water) as Nobita's female friend Shizuka. "Nobita's Barbeque," the campaign's second ad, began airing on November 18.

In the third ad, Nobita looks into the future with the "Time TV" and is unhappy that his friend Suneo is still driving with their female friend Shizuka-chan. Nobita wants to change the outcome even though he has no car or driver's license. Doraemon (Reno) pulls out the "Dokodemo Door" (Anywhere Door), but it leads them to the beach and the bully Gian. After refusing Doraemon's "Takecopter" (Bamboocopter), Nobita says, "I don't want to rely on those tools anymore. I want to drive myself." Then, Nobita asks Doraemon for the Dokodemo Door in order to get to the Tokyo Motor Show, which will begin on Saturday. The pair goes through the door and glimpses one of the show's Toyota vehicles.

Two Johnny’s fans arrested for assaulting another fan

Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a junior high school girl in September, reports Sankei News today.

It has been reported the three had been fans of a 14-year-old back dancer for Johnny’s group Hey! Say! JUMP.  On September 25, an incident had happened where a junior high school girl was beaten up, had her hair cut, and money taken from her.  Two 18-year-olds have admitted to beating up the girl, claiming she had been “texting the (Johnny’s) member”.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the girls had apparently been annoyed after hearing rumours a Johnny’s fan was texting a member in private, breaking fan rules about exchanging information with Johnny’s talents on online message boards open to the public.  It is still unknown whether the email address the fan was texting to was really the talent’s or not.

Imperial family 'needs change' : Call to allow female members to begin new branches by marriage

The Imperial Household Agency told the prime minister it is "an urgent matter" for the government to consider whether a female member of the Imperial family should be allowed to create a new family branch by maintaining her royal status after marrying outside the family, it has been learned.

The agency also told Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda last month it is necessary to design a system to ensure stable succession to the Imperial throne, government sources said.

Article 12 of the Imperial House Law stipulates that female members of the Imperial family cannot form a family branch--they lose their royal status upon marriage, unless they marry the Emperor or another member of the Imperial family.

The agency is apparently proposing revisions be made to the relevant laws so female members of the Imperial family can create new branches of the family tree, according to the sources.

The Imperial family currently comprises the Emperor and 22 other members, with four of the seven male members in their 60s or older.

GACKT hospitalised

GACKT wrote the following in his blog:

Hi, this is Juku Student Captain GACKT, motherf***ers~~~!!!! Oh, and by the way, the "motherf***er" I'm yelling at today is myself. Since early yesterday morning, I got a sudden fever and couldn't even walk but I couldn't skip the live radio show, so the staff carried me in and I somehow got through it but I passed out after I got to the hospital. Ahahahahaha.

I only remember bits and pieces, but i lost consciousness after my fever exceeded 40 degrees. Although I remember most of what happened up to 39.7 degrees. Well, since my normal temperature is 35 degrees, for it to go over 40 is of course ridiculous. This time i mostly got through it since it's a once a year traditional occurrence, collapsing like this but still, yesterday I was wondering if I was going to die. I've come back alive!

I took a shot to commemorate surviving. My hair is all messed up, but I'm feeling optimistic.

Sata Andagi, the 3 person unit that was born from Fuji TV's variety show Quiz! Hexagon II, which ended last september, will continue their activities, as reported on the 21st. The show was cancelled after their producer, former talent Shimada Shinsuke, retired from the entertainment industry. Members Yamada Shintarou (25) (a.k.a Yamada Yu's little brother), Mori Kouhei (23) and Matsuoka Takuya (22) announced to Sankei Sports that their activities will continue.

The last music release of the show is the WE LOVE HEXAGON 2011 compilation album that was released on the 23rd. Sata Andagi released two new songs on this album, one including Mori's group Shinsengumi Lien, another group produced by Shimada Shinsuke, in a song called "Boku wa Matteiru Kara".

Sata Andagi debuted in february last year with their debut song 'Yanbarukuina ga Tonda'. The different kinds of extreme Johnny’s fans

This week, two teenage Johnny’s fans were arrested for assaulting another fan.  Such extreme behaviour may have come from extreme Johnny’s fans, also known as “オリキ (Oriki)” or “ヤラカシ (Yarakashi)”, but what is the difference?  Zak zak reports.

The incident happened on September 25 near Tokyo Dome, where two 18-year-old fans beat up a 14-year-old fan, sprayed her with hair spray, took her mobile phone away, and promised to stop it if she would cut her hair.  It has been reported the two had called out the fan after hearing rumours the fan was privately texting a Johnny’s talent, and had therefore broken fan rules.  The three had met each other on a fan club blog, and this was apparently the first time they had met.

A long-time Johnny’s fan in her 40s explained about these extreme fans.

“‘オリキ (Oriki)’ means ‘fans with 力 (riki, force)’.  They’re a group of fans who follow (Johnny’s) talents’ schedules more than four times a week, waiting for them to come out or go to their next job.  There’s a leader who keeps things under control.  There are rules like, ‘don’t stalk talents at night’ and, ‘don’t sit in the same train carriage as talents when they’re working’.”

“ヤラカシ (Yarakashi)” is apparently an extreme form of “オリキ (Oriki)”.

“It means ‘やらかしちゃった (yarakashichatta, they did it)’.  They’re not controlled by the オリキ(Oriki), and don’t follow their rules.  These fans will find a talent’s home address, stalk them day and night, and ignore instructions from production staff in order to try and get closer to talents while they do on-location work,” she said.
