Yamada & Kindaichi SP is going international! + Preview

Yamada Ryosuke on his Thoughts by being the 4th Generation Kindaichi

Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Yamada Ryosuke have just finished shooting for the upcoming NTV’s Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo~Hong Kong Kowloon Zaiho Satsujin Jiken~ that is slated to be shown on New Year next year. This 60-years special program of NTV will be shown in various parts of Asia all at the same time, a first in history.

Yamada, who filmed the series in Hong Kong, decided to follow the style of the 1st generation Kindaichi, KinKi Kids‘ Domoto Tsuyoshi. “I kept my hair as close to the 1st generation and even wore the same style of uniform,” Yamada commented. It has been seven years since the last Kindaichi special was shown with KAT-TUN‘s Kamenashi Kazuya as the 3rd generation and Arashi‘s Matsumoto Jun as the 2nd generation.

The popular series is headlined by a stellar cast that includes Asian stars like former Farenheit member Wu Chun, Big Bang’s Seungri (V.I), and actress Vivian Hsu.

Set in Hong Kong, 4th generation’s Kindaichi will challenge difficult stunts and brilliant action scenes that could likened to that of Jackie Chan. Yamada talked about some of his action scenes including skate-boarding, “I did try skate-boarding since I have learned it in Japan. I was actually excited about the cliffs and such, but it was different once you are in the situation. We used stuntmen for other stunts, but I really worked hard to do my own stunts as possible.”

Yamada also said that he did not feel the language-barrier at all, “I think that it’s easy to convey your thoughts as long as you worked hard,” he commented. “I think that everyone was worried because of language differences; however, I enjoyed the differences and you can see that there’s a harmonious atmosphere at the set,” he addded.

Big Bang’s Seungri also raved about Yamada’s enthusiasm, “I think he is great for being the drama’s lead and he is still young.”

First published in 1992, “Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo” became a popular serial manga under Kodansha. Seimaru Amagi (author of Kindaichi’s light novels) did the screenplay for the first time where he staged the serial murders in a fashion show in Hong Kong.

Softbank CEO embroiled in Twitter war after donating $500,000 to Hurricane Sandy relief

softbank

Last week mobile phone mogul Masayoshi Son, who has a history of large donations, offered $500,000 through Softbank to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy in North America and then tweeted about it. This act of philanthropy irked a Twitter user by the name of o44o.

Feeling that this was an act of blatant advertising through the use of a good deed, he decided to voice his opinion to Son.

Around midday on Nov 3, Son tweeted: “I would like to express sympathy for all the victims of the Hurricane Sandy disaster in North America. Softbank will donate $500,000 to the American Red Cross.”

About a day later, o44o responded saying: “Donations are usually done with good intentions. Announcing it is stupid as if you’re the only one in the world doing it. This donation is just commercial crap!”

Soon after, Son replied: “I’m just posting the various thoughts I have, but from now on I should probably refrain…”

o44o continued: “Various thoughts eh? LOL I know what’s going on. You’re trying to buy your way into the hearts and markets of America. LOL”

Katori Shingo & Yamapi to appear in drag for “Monster” PV

Single “MONSTERS” to be released in October 28th by the unit “The MONSTERS” formed by Katori Shingo (35) and Yamashita Tomohisa (27), revealed the PV of the coupling song “Monster” in November 8th. At the beginning of the said PV, they appear performing in drag.

“Monster” is a cover of Pink Lady’s big hit by the same name released in 1978, and that’s where the idea of the PV came from. Katori, who has already experienced cross-dressing with popular characters, like Shingo Mama talked about at Yamashita’s first time challenging cross-dressing, “Yamashita Tomohisa, gained a lot of attention, considering this was the first time he dresses like that”, he grinned. Yamashita on the other hand, “It was uncomfortable as expected, but I ended up having fun while dancing. I must be careful in order to avoid turning this into a habit (laugh)”. The said PV is included in the Limited Edition B of the single.

Maeda commented ahead of the shooting, “I want to show you a completely new side of me.” She continued, “I was so nervous that I couldn’t sleep at all last night.” The result of her ambition are plenty of great pictures with adult-like expressions, bold cleavage shots, a gorgeous regent styling and sexy lingerie.
