Idol group, Nogizaka46 have topped the singles chart with their 4th single, "Seifuku no Mannequin." This is the first time that they have crossed the 200k mark in the first week, surpassing their previous single, "Hashire! Bicycle" (August this year) which sold 187k in the first week. The group debuted with "Guruguru Curtain" (February this year), and this is their 3rd consecutive no.1 single since their 2nd single, "Oide Shampoo" (May this year). The last time a group has topped the chart for 3 times in a row in their debut year was 6 years ago with KAT-TUN in 2006. As for female acts, Iwasaki Hiromi (in 1975) and NMB48 (in 2011) have previously topped the singles chart 2 times in a row
in their debut year, which makes this a new record for Nogizaka46.
In the albums chart, popular unit, Ikimonogakari have reached the no.1 spot with their first ballad best album, "Baradon." This is their 5th consecutive no.1 album since their 3rd original studio album, "My song Your song" (December 2008). It has been 16 years and 5 months since the last co-ed group has achieved this, which was Southern All Stars with "Southern All Stars" (January 1990) ~ "Young Love" (July 1996). This album includes songs from their debut single, "SAKURA" (March 2006) until the theme song for London 2012 Olympics, "Kaze ga Fuiteiru" (July this year), for a total of 13 ballads.
Meanwhile, popular rock band, Mr.Children have topped both music-DVD and overall DVD charts simultaneously with the live DVD of their 20th anniversary dome tour, "Mr.Children TOUR POPSAURUS 2012." This their 7th consecutive no.1 DVD (and 9 overall), beginning from "Mr.Children "HOME" TOUR 2007 ~in the field~" (August 2008). As for music-DVD, this is their 11th consecutive no.1 (and 11 overall) starting from "wonderful world on DEC 21" (March 2003). The band has now surpassed their own record (tied with Arashi previously with 10) at first place. They have also stretched their 'no.1 music-DVD in consecutive years' record to 9 (2005~2013), with Koda Kumi at second place with 8 consecutive years.
Posting the top 30 albums/singles and the top 10 music-DVDs. The second column in the top 10 refers to sales in 2013. New release in bold. Bonus: Also posting the top 10 music-BDs
In addition, Mr.Children have achieved the no.1 spot in the music-BD chart with the Blu-Ray version. It has sold 47,824 copies for a DVD+BD total of 109,371 copies. This has surpassed the first week sales of the previous Blu-Ray, "Mr.Children STADIUM TOUR 2011 SENSE -in the field-."

Music-BD chart usually has low numbers, most of the times under 1000 copies even the top 10. But this week is a good week IMO, so whether or not the chart is posted here in the future will depend on the numbers.
Even though I don't like this release by Iki, still congrats to them. Especially congrats to Mr.Children for being consistent with their DVD and Blu-Ray sales. :)
