Kansai Johnny’s Jr. in legendary stage-play & starring a new movie & CD Debut

On July 7th, Kansai Johnny’s Jr. held the last concert of their first national tour, the live went on NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo. From the south in Fukuoka to the north in Sapporo, they mobilized around 31,100 people in 8 cities, with a total of 13 performances. During this day, 12 members , from 4 different units, appeared leading the stage, dancing and singing. Fujii Ryusei (19) commented, “I want to make this an interesting show”, they entertained a crowd of about 3,600 people. Their show, full of words and humor, made every one laugh. Even president Johnny H. Kitagawa (81) affirmed he laughed until he got teary-eyed.

“To be able to make people laugh while they’re on stage is the best. They sing well, they can play instruments. I’m looking forward to this in a lot of ways”.

Despite being only debut candidates based in Kansai, they are widely popular across the country. A lot of members are regulars in shows on Kansai TV stations, and perform frequently in the popular show “The Shounen Club” (NHK-BS Premium). Kiriyama Akito (23), had a prominent appearance in the 2008 season of “Gokusen” (NTV), and all other members gain more and more recognition every day.

It is obvious that they hold a big chance for the future. On this day, they also announced their casting in the first replay after 20 years of the popular stage-play by SMAP and KinKi Kids, “ANOTHER”. During the original play, SMAP performed in the east and KinKi Kids in the west, and were simultaneously staged connected by satellite. This new edition also includes NYC Nakayama Yuma (19).

It was also revealed that they will serve as main cast of another movie production after the movie they starred earlier this year, the new film will be premiered on 2014 as a new action comedy. Despite all this, their CD debut after KinKi Kids and Kanjani8 is still undecided. When Johnny-san was asked about this, he replied, “It feels like they should be already, isn’t it”.

During the live, their tension was pretty high, performing 28 tracks including their new song, “Naniwa Ichitosho”. Shigeoka Daiki (20) commented, “We would like to continue steadily”. Kiriyama added, “We are here right now, because KinKi Kids-san were there for us. In order to not break their legacy, we would like to pursue a new path, we’ll do our best”, he said with determination.

“ANOTHER” will be performed in Nissay Theatre since September 4th.

Apparently, Johnny gave an OK to their CD debut, for early next year, and a plan to debut 7-8 members of Kansai juniors

waiting for this to finally happen. Shigeoka Daiki is a star. It's also quite obvious that there's bound to be a Tokyo junior debut, that future explosive team of JESSE, Shintaro & their other cohorts

SMAP's Epic 40min Non-stop Medley

In celebration of their debut anniversary on September 9th, SMAP performed a medley of all the 50 singles they have ever released during a live broadcast of SMAPxSMAP. Sanma Akashiya made an offer to Mari Yaguchi to make a comeback

It was known on September 7 that Sanma Akashiya made an offer to Mari Yaguchi to make her comeback on FNS 27 Jikan Terebi last August 3~4, as revealed on his show Sanma no Manma which was broadcast in the Kansai region.

Sanma's guest on this episode was Sharan-Q. Sanma started the conversation with Tsunku by saying:
"This woman who caused trouble some time ago... the one Tsunku said was a prospect who'd only appear once every 10 years..."
"She should just come out of hiding already..."
To which Tsunku replied: "Maybe no one can find her because she's too small".
Sanma: "I thought that she should just come out already. I actually offered her to make an appearance on 27 Jikan Terebi, but she said that she can't. She should just come out as a woman who got divorced. Maybe she's still afraid of the media..."

TBH at first glance it looks like a good offer if you don't know how Sanma, one of the 4 emperors of Japanese Industry, works. I believe Yaguchi knows what will happen to her (a public execution) and unlike Sasshi who is Sanma's favortie and AKB (Sanma's current favorite group, I think 3 of the 4 emperors are AKB fans or at least likes AKB48) group that whatever Sanma will say (even bash) to them it was not a big deal for them that is why she reject it because she will be the sacrificial lamb for a high rating. Like the time when Momusu was guested in his shows, he keeps asking them "You were great, your talented blah blah why you are not invited in Kohaku" which is in reality a sarcastic question which means You are not great nor talented balh balh unlike your sempais that is why you are not invited anymore. For concrete proof, Yu Abiru's guesting in Sanma's show was the example the netizens gave to prove how guesting in his shows can affect/changed your career if you are not careful with him.

Kindaichi Case Files Gets Live-Action Special Set in Malaysia

Hey! Say! JUMP's Ryosuke Yamada, Haruna Kawaguchi return as teen detective & friend

Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo (Kindaichi Case Files) will return with a new live-action television special, Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo: Gokumon Juku Satsujin Jiken (Kindaichi Case Files: The Prison Cram School Murder Case), next January. Ryosuke Yamada of the boy band Hey! Say! JUMP will reprise his role of the teen detective Hajime Kindaichi. Yamada first played Kindaichi in this past January's television special Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo: Hong Kong Kyūryū Zaihou Satsujin Jiken (Kindaichi Case Files: The Hong Kong Kowloon Treasure Murder Case).

The setting of next January's special is the jungles of Malaysia. (This special will be NTV's first co-production with a Malaysian television station.) In the story, Kindaichi joins his childhood friend Miyuki Nanase in Sparta, a prestigious "prison" cram school. There, they uncover a mysterious death, which turns out to be a taunting challenge from a brilliant producer with criminal dealings throughout the world.

Haruna Kawaguchi reprises her role of Nanase from this year's special. Hey! Say! JUMP member Daiki Arioka also returns as Ryūji Saki, Kindaichi's younger schoolmate. Another returning cast member is Wu Chun (former member of the Taiwanese band Fahrenheit and the star of the Taiwanese version of Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e) as Byron Li.

Kazuki Kitamura will play a teacher at the Sparta cram school, and Hiroki Narimiya will play Yōichi Takato, a nefarious mastermind and Kindaichi's eternal nemesis.

Yamada is the fourth live-action actor to play Kindaichi. The previous actors were KinKi Kids group member Tsuyoshi Dōmoto, Arashi member Jun Matsumoto, and KAT-TUN member Kazuya Kamenashi.

Seimaru Amagi (also known as Tadashi Agi) created the original manga, which already inspired a television anime series and several film and video spinoffs. Tokyopop published part of the manga in North America.
