Update on HSJ and making headlines everywhere

Hey!Say! underage member smoking, entertainment activities stopped indefinitely

Official statement:
Today, there are some news articles, which we validated with Morimoto Ryutaro himself. He admits that he has smoked out of curiosity on several occassions before. Although he is very sorry for his behaviour and in self-scrutiny, however underage smoking as a violation of the law is common knowledge and an unacceptable behaviour. Our company has always placed emphasis on educating them in this regard. To face the facts, from now on, Morimoto will cease all of his activities in the entertainment field indefinitely.
We sincerely apologize for the trouble caused to all fans and related persons.
-Johnnys Jimusho

I kinda expected this. When NEWS had 9 people, something like this happening too. there's too much members that there had to be some problem somewhere. -_- oh well. I feel sorry for the innocent members though.

Not surprised @ HSJ losing a member. Just didn't expect it'd be Ryuu. Q_Q

I wonder what would have happened if the popular ones in the group like Yamada got into this kind of situation. I mean, tbh, Ryutaro isnt really one of the front leads (which is sad, that boy has a great voice). Would JE risk losing their main selling point if this happened to the more popular ones?

Depends. Probably not. When Goro from Snap had his scandal (he hit a police woman with his car) he was given house arrest for a year, I think. No concerts or public appearances whatsoever. Had Smap not been so popular he definitely would've been sacked. So, if it were yamada...probably something similar: suspended activities and public apology etc

Bye Ryuu ~ I can't see him back to HSJ anymore, just saying. Just look Uchi and Kusano. If only Ryu is popular like Uchi, the chance of him getting back to JE even with Jr status or trainee status is probably bigger. But sadly NO!

So, bye bye I guess. Just treasure your life from now on Ryuu. Hoping he won't decide to smoke even more after this incident because of stress, JE wil definitely kick him out. Not just from HSJ, but from JE. Getting kicked from JE = you're not having future in Japan entertainment business tho
