Johnny’s Jr. talent Taiga Kyomoto has made his TV commercial debut for a major watchmaker label, it was revealed on August 31, reports Asahi Shimbun and Sponichi Annex.
Kyomoto stars in a commercial for SEIKO’s “beautiful person” commercial, which is celebrating the company’s 130th anniversary. In it, Kyomoto plays a teenager in school uniform who is studying in a library. The boy notices a woman sitting opposite him, and for a brief second, is mesmerized by her. The woman in turn, also notices, and moves from her seat to fix the boy’s neck tie before walking away.
At the commercial’s press event, it has been reported Kyomoto said the commercial’s director, Terry Itou, helped him a lot during the shoot.
“It was my first time working with video footage so I was nervous, but thanks to director Terry, I think the end product turned out to be really good. I hope people watching the commercial can feel the same way my character felt,” he said.
Mr Itou said during filming, he had to stop Kyomoto at times because the Johnny’s talent was staring at the commercial’s actress rather than glancing.
“I haven’t had much experience with it so…,” an embarrassed Kyomoto said.
The SEIKO commercial will be shown on Japanese TV throughout autumn.
