Singer-songwriter Nakajima Miyuki (59) has been decided to write the theme song to TBS 60th Anniversary drama series "Nankyoku Tairiku" (October 16th Start, Sundays @ 21:00), starring Kimura Takuya (38).
"Kouya yori" (From the Wilderness), which is to be released on October 26th, will be her first single in 2 years. Nakajima has penned many TV theme song hits, like "Chijou no Hoshi" and "Sora to Kimi no aida ni" and her synergy with Kimura, The Ratings Man, is going to be a major topic.
TBS Producer Ishimaru Akihiko commented: "Nakajima Miyuki-san is the only one who can strongly represent this story we can even call symbolic, a Japan which never gave up for reconstruction's sake".
The last time Nakajima Miyuki wrote a drama theme song was 8 years ago when "Gin no Ryu no Se ni Notte" served as the ending theme to Fuji TV's "Dr. Koto Shinryojo". It's been 2 years since her last single, 2009's "Ai dake wo Nokose".
