Sports Nippon reported today that AKB48's new single "Kaze wa fuiteiru" shipped 1.6 million copies. in what comes to AKB's first shipment numbers, "Everday, Kachuusha" shipped 1.45 million before release and finished its first week sales at 1.33 million. the following single, "Flying Get" outsold the previous single's first week selling 1.35 million, giving AKB the record of the first artist ever to have 2 consecutive first week million sellers in japan.
Kaze wa Fuiteiru's "furage day" was yesterday, and first day sales will come out later today around 7 PM (Japan Time).
