It has recently been announced that Akanishi Jin will be releasing his new Japanese single on December 28th. The track will be called "Seasons" and is a follow up to his last record "Test Drive", which has reached the top one of the dance charts on the US iTunes charts and ranked within the top 10 altogether.
While it seemed that Akanishi had turned his back on the Japanese fans for quite a while, this single will hold a special meaning for him and his fans in Japan. The record will some as a regular edition with a special booklet and the limited first edition with CD+DVD will contain four different cover designs - for the four seasons respectively - and of course a DVD with special contents.
This will be Akanishi Jin’s 2nd ballad song after "Eternal" (released in March). “It’s not only a love song between couples, but a song to express your love towards families and friends, and all types of love”, as Akanishi commented.
Moreover, it has been announced that Akanishi will be holding a special fan event at Yokohama Arena on January 7th 2012, which will be available to fans who purchase his mini album "Test Drive" and win the lottery to participate. The album is scheduled to drop in stores on December 7th.
Also, the event will be aired in Los Angeles as well, therefore fans on the other side of the world shouldn't miss this special happening either.
