Today, AKS, the head office of AKB48 (and family groups) reveal backstage and preview pictures of Team K's Zero Sum Taiyou PV. Team K's Zero Sum Taiyou is the C-side to the Ue kara Mariko single (to be released Dec. 7th, please support the group by buying it) type K.
From the pictures, it can be inferred that the PV is based on the Takarazuka Revue, as the girls are in glittery and feathery outfits are based on actual costumes and suits like many in the otokoyaku role wear.
What is the Takarazuka Revue? It is a Japanese all-female theater company that was founded in 1914 by Kobayashi Ichizo. Its parent company is Hankyu Hanshin Holdings, Inc., a major Japanese business conglomerate. For details on the Revue's history and historical impact, please see that particular article.
