then maybe an idol only cause whether or not you actually have talent is irrelevent(in most cases)

idols are more focused on music while talents are more focused on TV (tv personality, comedian, announcer, actress, singer)

musician even though actors are more popular and have a longer shelf life, plus doing concerts seem like fun
being an idol seems like a shitty job especially the part of being forgotten and tossed away when older
