DAILY STAR - JAPAN’S rock giants L’Arc-en-Ciel are on the Edge Of Glory after a ringing endorsement from Lady Gaga.
The J Rock quartet are the world’s biggest band you’ve probably never heard of.
But now L’Arc are rubbing shoulders with the queen of pop androgyny, whose paws tap enthusiastically to rhythms of their music.
Ambiguous L’Arc frontman Hyde, 42, laughed: “Lady Gaga said we’re cool, so we must be. We worked with her on TV and she really likes Japanese music now.”
The dark rock-ers celebrate their 20th annivers- ary with a rare UK date in March, their first in a decade.
Guitarist Ken, 43, explained: “We have always listened to Eng- lish music, so coming to the UK again is exciting.”
They look fresher-faced than One Direction’s kid brothers. Sowhat is their secret?
Ken laughed: “We have good lawyers. The Roll- ing Stones still know how to par- ty. They keep going, we do too.”
A unique blend of Goth, indus- trial, punk, pop and even jazz, L’Arc’s music also provides the soundtrack to Japanese Anime films.
Ken explained: “Anime brought us a lot of fans around the world. We’d love to do a Hollywood film.”
