Popular rock band, BUMP OF CHICKEN have achieved their 7th no.1 single with their 22nd single, "Good Luck." The last time they topped the chart was 15 months ago with "Uchuuhikoushi e no Tegami/Motorcycle" (released in October 2010). The title track is used as the theme song to the new TOHO movie, "ALWAYS San-choume no Yuuhi '64."
In the albums chart, rock band ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION have topped the chart with their first best album, "BEST HIT AKG." The last time the band topped the chart with a single or album was with their 4th studio album, "World World World" (released in March 2008). This is their 3rd no.1 album in their career.
Tokyo Jihen claimed the no.2 spot in the albums chart with their final original album, "color bars." The quintet have announced their disbandment with the last concert at Nippon Budokan on 29th February this year. To date, all 6 of their albums have successfully entered the top 10 chart.
