Ikimonogakari to sing for new “Meitantei Conan” movie
It’s been revealed that Ikimonogakari will be singing the theme song for Detective Conan’s 16th animated film, “Meitantei Conan 11-ninme no Striker“.
In this new film, ‘Edogawa Conan’ tackles a case that takes place within the J-League (Japan Professional Football League).
Five well-known J-League players, Endo Yasuhito (Gamba Osaka), Konno Yasuyuki (Gamba Osaka), Nakamura Kengo (Kawasaki Frontale), Narazaki Seigo (Nagoya Grampus), and Miura Kazuyoshi (Yokohama FC), will be making special appearances, and will also lend their voices for the film.
The theme song, entitled “Haru Uta“, was written by the group’s guitarist Yamashita Hotaka. Vocalist Yoshioka Kiyoe showed confidence in the song by saying, “I think it turned out to be a strong song with transience.”
Meanwhile, producer Suwa Michihiko commented, “The 16th film of ‘Meitantei Conan’ had many first challenges. This made me want to use Yoshioka-san straightforward vocals.”
