Poster for “Himitsu no Akko-chan” live-action revealed
The poster for the upcoming live-action movie, “Himitsu no Akko-chan“, has finally been revealed!

“Himitsu no Akko-chan” is based on a popular manga by Akatsuka Fujio, which was first serialized in the girls manga magazine, “Ribbon“, back in 1962. It has already received several anime adaptations throughout the 50 years.
The first teaser features a two-shot of the film’s main characters, played by actress Ayase Haruka and actor Okada Masaki. You can also see the silhouette of the manga character ‘Akko-chan’ in Ayase’s shadow.
The story of “Himitsu no Akko-chan” revolves around an elementary school girl who is a crybaby with a strong sense of justice. After receiving a magical compact mirror, she is able to transform into whatever she wishes.
In this film, Akko-chan (Ayase) transforms into a 22-year-old college student in order to protect her first love (Okada), a salary man who works for a cosmetics company. Throughout the story, she chooses occupations that fit into the current situation, including a figure skater, a cabin attendant, an office lady, a police officer, and a racing motorcyclist.
“Himitsu no Akko-chan” will open in theaters nationwide on September 1st.
