12,000 fans cheered for singer-songwriter, Ayaka, as she kicks-off her "Ayaka LIVE TOUR 2012 ‘The beginning’ ~Hajimari no Toki~" at Nippon Budokan, Tokyo last Apr 28th.
Ayaka started the night with a capella of "Hajimari no Toki", she managed to sang it beautifully despite getting emotional, her eyes were overflowed with tears by the time she finished the song. Ayaka sang 19 songs in total, including tracks from her latest album, "The Beginning". Despite the three-hours live performance, Ayaka did not exhibit any shortness of breath; tour officials said that Ayaka has been given a go-signal from her doctors before the tour and her medications have been working well for her.
The singer was absent from the music scene since 2009 after she was diagnosed with Grave's Disease (Hyperthyroidism). She made a comeback December last year at Music Station 2011 Special and also performed at Kohaku Uta Gassen 2011.
Ayaka have nothing but gratitude for her fans who have waited for her comeback.When the singer called, "I'm home!", the enthusiastic audience roared back with, "Welcome home!". Also seen amongst the audience is Hiro Mizushima, Ayaka's actor-husband.
Ayaka will continue her nationwide tour that will end at Osaka-jo Hall on July 25th.
